Would you suggest The Notebook for a teenage girl?

I love romance books but i don't like them inappropriate.

I would suggest it to a teenager. I feel that everyone all the time is trying to shelter kids and teenager from real life that it makes them ignorant to everything that is going on in the worldWould you suggest The Notebook for a teenage girl?
personally, i love The Notebook. the story is great. but i wouldn't recommend it to teenagers because some of the conflicts in the story are for adults. i would advise though, if you really want to read it, is to be part of a book club, or have an adult (preferably your mom or older sister if you have one) read the book as well and discuss it with you. while the content in itself is not entirely inappropriate, some of the emotions and conflicts will be better if processed with an adult. but on the whole, it is one of the best stories i have ever read. it's great, but has issues that are for more ';mature'; audiences.
I thought it was really great. I don't know if I would say anyone under 15 should read it though..... I don't know. How old are you, exactly?
