Or Smiles to go by Jerry Spinelli.

Or read the Chicken Soup for the teens soul or something :)What are some good teenage girl books?
Ashes (Book One in the Gray Area Series) by Stefanie Ellis:

Sidney Fox was your average seventeen-year old girl. She looked like everyone else, dressed like everyone else, harbored hopes and dreams...you guessed it, just like everyone else.

After a long and uneventful winter break, Sidney returned to the stale hallways and cranky teachers to find a new addition: a mysterious new student named Cael, he seemed to immediately fall into the role of the most popular person to ever step foot on campus. At first, Sidney was repulsed by the gaggle of girls that hung on his every word, that is, until he explained that he has no control over the attraction others have for him, it鈥檚 just one thing out of many that he is just as confused about as she is. Cael knows what he is, but he has no idea how or why. Their search for answers sends them across the world and forces them to go to extreme measures in order to get those answers.

(The sequel ';Illusions'; comes out on March 15th)

City of Dreams (not YA, but a really good romance) by Stefanie Ellis:

Instead, she stumbles across a man. A man she hasn鈥檛 seen since high school, a man who always held her heart. How do i report a drug abuser who is using her teenage daughter to help her get drugs?

simply call your local policeHow do i report a drug abuser who is using her teenage daughter to help her get drugs?
For anonymity, you could call your local Crime Stoppers division. If you want to be updated with what's being/has been done, though, you might want to go to your local police so that you know who go to at a later time. How do i report a drug abuser who is using her teenage daughter to help her get drugs?
If you do not know what to do to fix this, then your on drugs as well.

You just might call the cops, but you have to ask. So I would have to say this is really a very stupid question.
You call Child Protective Services and make an anonymous report. It's just that simple.
call 911 or your local Department of Human Services and asked to speak to someone in children and family services.

Ok well I really wanted to do the zebra theme but my best friend kinda stole the idea so what should i do for my room theme? I don't want it to be too girlie or too grown up just in the middle. Any suggestions? please please help!!!Ok I really need a cool room theme idea for a teenage girl any ideas?
    Stars

    Hearts

    Butterflies

    Camouflage

    Tigers/Lions/any wild animal

Surfer girlOk I really need a cool room theme idea for a teenage girl any ideas?
    lets create your desired theme.

Take a pen and paper and note write down what would soothe you the most. What colors you love the most and whether you like punk themes or decent and sober themes. Make all the judgments and get more ideas from home improvement magazines and home improvement shows. This is the only way you going to get the best theme for your room.

Teenage room must be alive and full of energetic colors. I'm giving you a few links that will give your more ideas than you know and you will also be able to know many other things about home improvements.
I really love brown and pinks together. It is so mod feeling. I would go with light tan walls and white trim/doors. paint all frames such as picture and mirror frames variations of pink. Pink fluffy throw rug, and get a cheetah print bed spread with pink throw pillows. If I was very creative I would redo my furniture in bases a pink, drawers brown, very tops I would stencil cheetah prints on. Window take brown and pink toille and just drape it over a pole. For privacy I would have a blind that I painted a nice brown color. Big toss pillows for the floor in browns and pinks with patches of cheetah print on them in little areas to embellish. Get a little chair that you can toss a cheetah print throw on with a pink pillow.
I find that a more natural feel works best for a bedroom. Light, soothing colors, soft cotton sheets and curtains - basically anything that feels relaxed and breathable. Perhaps for your nightstand you can consider a water feature, like this Yin Yang fountain http://www.coolstuffcheap.com/yin-yang-fountain---black---white.html and a Zen Garden like this http://www.coolstuffcheap.com/42331.html for just having fun with or relaxing from your day before sleep. Photos of friends and family in pretty frames can add a touch of personality and comfort as well. I hope this helps :)
You can add cool decals to walls to add a cool look!

http://www.carfacial.com its for cars but you can certainly use it on walls!!!!

Is there going to be a fashion line for teenage mom-to-be's and teenage mom's?

Miss Jamie Lynn Spears, got pregnant and she is only a teenager. Is there going to be a fashion line for teenage mom-to-be's and teenage mom's?
You may have hit upon a pretty good idea given the number of teenage pregnancies there seems to be. You should get something started now before someone else snaps up your idea. I am not kidding by the way.Is there going to be a fashion line for teenage mom-to-be's and teenage mom's?
I doubt it. That would be totally risky to encourage that type of behavior.
I doubt that any clothing line would be daring enough to produce a line for pregnant teenagers however, what I can say is that there are many options available that are intended for adults but still come in many sizes and young styles. Liz Lange at Target has simple clothes that would still look cute.

Jamie will probably end up buying the same clothing lines that she wears now but just in bigger sizes this time.

What is being a teenage parent like?

I would like answers from teenage parents only please. I would like you just to describe what your life is like now that you are a parents or about to be a parent... Thanks =)What is being a teenage parent like?
first off! This is to BLONDIE---- I was a teenage Mom, and by all means you have no right to stereotype. My husband and i started dating when i was 15, I got pregnant with our first at 16, and that was 12 years ago! We never had help, rented some nice places, and now own our own home. So we did stay together, we did not milk off the tax payers money, and if we did who cares becuase we both work everyday and contribute to taxes. Let alone there are people in ther e30's who are not qualified to have children, It depends on the person and there goals of what they want for themselves and in a teenage parents case there childs future. I had no experience with children and my daughter will be 10, she is a honor roll student was put into school a year early at 3 1/2 and is extremly intelligent. So know your facts! Before you judge...

Now to answer your question.... I would never recommend having childen while you are teen, only because you lose freedom, and your childhood. You have to become an adult over night and all of your situations you are faced with need adult resolving. I am fortunate to have my husband we both were 16 when pregnant with Calli, and we had our second child at 20, and now we are having our last child at 27.

The good thing about having children young is you get to grow with them, and they learn with you, but it is hard and a long road. I would not trade my girls for the world and i would never regret having children so young because they have helped form me to who i am today! Life with kids is exhausting, and time consuming and exspensive, but it always works itself out. I think it is good you ask this question and it ashame that some people dont give teen parents the benefit of doubt. My daughters are the best part of me and my husband....What is being a teenage parent like?
    Hard and a stupid idea.

    Teenagers are children.

    Children cant look after children.

Teenagers dont have the qualifications to get a good job and support their baby, and hormones are flying all over the place so its more likely for the parents to split up.

Dont get pregnant as a teenager unless you can support them yourself. Everyone should wear a condom once in a while and stop bringing innocent lives into the world %26amp; sponging off the tax payers.

And to the person below me...Lol, clearly cant read. In my reply I added ';Dont get pregnant as a teenager unless you can support them yourself'; %26lt; -- And if you did this, why are you taking such offense?
Have you ever seen the show 16 and pregnant its on MTV.

I had this same question until I watched this show. I have decided to wait for kids and to not even think about sex till im married. Cause watching what these girls go threw is crazy. I never wanna be a teen age mom.
I dont get to have any fun.... I go to work and I go to school and then I come home to a crap apartment..I hate everything! i i i i i...get where im going? there is no i anymore...its not about me.
Im pretty sure it sucks. The worst feeling ever is loosing your freedom becuase of 1 nite.
if you watch the secret life of an american teenager then you would know....what it's like.
    Hm, where's Geo?
    Hard...very hard.

My 17 yr old teenage daughter brought home a report card with all E's, what consequences should I impose?

Already took use of the car away before this. If grounded, how long? Does that mean absolutely no social life at all for that time period? The reason I ask is last time I grounded her she fell into a depression after about 3 weeks of being grounded. She doesn't stay out late (9:30 curfew) and doesn't do drugs or drink, she has a boyfriend who is moving away in June and she is upset that if grounded that means she will never see him again. My 17 yr old teenage daughter brought home a report card with all E's, what consequences should I impose?
You need to tell her how her life will be if she continue to do poorly in school. Does she want to be a bum or someone who is successful? (or something like that)My 17 yr old teenage daughter brought home a report card with all E's, what consequences should I impose?
talk to her, ask her what he problems are, dont get aggressive at any stage, usually its not punishment that works, no problem is usually solved like that, maybe she ahs problems at skool, maybe she cant concentrate enough, maybe the thought that her bf is leaving is diturbing her, grounding and stuff like that is only a temporary solutiion, The best way is for u and ur daughter to talk, dont sdirectkly jump inot this topic, be patient, talk to her as if u were her friend, u two can work this out together, u seem to be a ncie person and ur daughter seems to b sensible as shes not into drugs or sutmhin unlike most of the wayward teengers today, u two just need sum time to solve this prob. good luck!..and have a great week
    E's?
When a kid fails every class, this is more than just a disciplinary problem. The girl is completely out of touch with the school she is in. You need to talk to her school principal and find out whether they can do anything to help her. If not, offer her the option of quitting and getting a job vs. going to a different school. But don't let her quit and just hang out; she has to get a job.
whats an E? well if its really bad, then ground her for like maybe 2-3 weeks i'll say
If she is doing poorly in all of her classes, there may be more to the problem than meets the eye. It sounds like she is a good kid. I doubt that she wants to get bad grades. You should sit down with her and have a long talk to try to get to the bottom of it.

When you talk to her, don't raise your voice or threaten her with punishment if the grades don't improve. She might have a genuine problem that requires the help of a trusted adult. Maybe she is depressed. It could be that someone is bullying her at school. Tell her that you are there for her (don't assume that she already knows), and that she can talk to you about anything. If you show a little patience and understanding, I'm sure you can work through whatever problems she is having.
a report card with all E's? E's for grades or conduct?

with the conventional grading system, E grades dont exist.. but E's in conduct are very good
She should have thought about how she'd react to grounding before she chose to blow off her education. You could work out something where istead of indefinite grounding, all priviliges are earned, on a daily basis, as long as she shows you the school work she completes each and every day. You need to be available to look at the quality and quantity of the work, and then decide what, if any, privilige she has earned. You need to stay in contact with the school, and make sure she's doing all assigned work.
This is a battle that you simply must when. Slacking in School will only lead to slacking in life. This has got to be a, to get what you want, I get want I want situation. She may hate your guts for it and make your life a living Hell. But, in the end she will thank you for not letting her give up. Sadly you may be on your death bed before you hear it, but that is how it usually works.

Honey you have to tie her down until she is responsible enough to be turned loose. We are talking about an irrational irresponsible child here. Personally I'd ground her until you and her teachers think she is cured. If you don't win here you'll regret it the rest of your life.
thats a tough one, because really, all grounding her is going to do is piss her off, it wont bring her Es up. i would ask her how SHE is gonna solve the problem. say it in a nice way, not a demanding way if you know what i mean. if she says ';i dont know'; (a typical teens response) tell her to go to her room and think about it until she comes up with a good way to fix the problem. that really isnt grounding her because she is the one who controls how long it lasts. but let me let you in on a little insight. when i was 16, i too had a curfew of 9:30, and i drank and smoked pot, did a LOT of things that my mom had no idea about until much later in life. she had no clue. i was very good at covering it up, i had good grades, i worked, i was a ';dream'; teenager in her eyes, but behind her back i did a lot of bad things, i just never got caught. so you may want to look a little deeper into things with your daughter, she could be doing things that you dont know about. i wish you good luck with this.
Okay, your child has an IEP, but do you know when she is up for review? If she is getting all E's, which essentially mean F's, that means something in her IEP isn't working, or teachers aren't following the IEP as they should. Are her regular teachers even aware she receieves services? I would take a look there and see if she needs to have her goals looked at again. As a parent you can request an IEP meeting at any time. I would also suggest working out some compromise. For example, let her go out with her boyfriend, but agree that to earn that she needs to work with you (or a tutor) for 30 minutes, or whatever. I don't know what her IEP is for, but if she has difficulties concentrating or retaining information, keep things short. Break lessons into portions, and concentrate on getting one thing done at a time. Good luck!
I guess the E isn't for excellent. I thought grades were A B C D and F. Well let her see him one last time. Make an exception and put her back on punishment after he's gone.
dont ground her, ground ur self. But help her and sit with her so she studies and ask her q %26amp; A unless she gets it.
A bad report card doesn't necessarily mean she's a bad person or that she needs to be punished. It just means that she isn't learning what she should be. And there could be any number of things that is causing this. Punishing her seems to be doing more harm than good. Try sitting down and talking with her and try to figure out ways you can help her improve her marks.
i played around in school one time. my grades were bad.

my parents but me on restriction from everything which helped me. i did not get off until my grades were pulled up. it did not kill me that restriction and i am still here years later.
You could force her to do lots and lots of chores if you're going to punish her (which is probably a good idea). And don't blame yourself for the card, it's HER fault.

Also, what's the problem? Was she just not doing her work? Did she just not understand the stuff?

Just make sure she does to fix it.

By the way, are there any 17 yr old daughters that aren't teenage?
Yikes! I'd say a visit with a doctor, shrink and possibly a change in schools were in order. But this is a bit drastic and it sounds like your daughter doesn't need the extra stress. But it is possible to talk to her teachers or even a guidance counselor. However, take the guidance counselor's advice carefully, they don't see students everyday and they don't know us. Maybe you should also consider talking to her friends if at all possible.

Have you considered the way you ask to help her with her homework? Typically, we teens pick up on tone a lot more than we'd like to admit. And it sounds like your punishments are just, but it sounds like they just aren't working. Like I said before, perhaps a visit with the doctor or a shrink is in order.
none maybe your are to lazy to 6take the time to teach her no one to blame but your self
First she needs a tutor. Second, talk with her school counselor and her individual teachers. You need to monitor her homework and her school activities. Also, why are you asking this now, at the end of the semester? Ask yourself why you haven't recieved any progress reports. If your daughter gets depressed after being grounded, it's her fault yet she might be trying to get YOUR ATTENTION. How much time do you and her spend together? You need to be a parent first, friend second. You can ground her and have her boyfriend COME OVER for a few hours at a time. But you really need to go to her school and find out what is going on.
I have been a teacher for some years and I have never seen and E as a grade, grades are only A, B, C, D, and F. E's stand for excellent.
First of all what my parents showed me that changed my ways and opinions about school and how important it was to go to college and have a successful Carree first they told me the job i would receive if i continued to do poorly then they gathered information on the cost of living for a cheap apartment and other bills and by the stats i saw i quickly realized that i would barely survive at that rate and that from there on opened my eyes to my future if i continued my habits in school. As for the boyfriend i think it would be the right thing to do to let her see him. But also remember to set other boundaries and make sure she doesn't cross them and to tell her all actions have consequences and she must pay them. So far it has changed my outlook on school and have pledged to do better my sophomore year in high school

Am I the only teenage girl with sleeping paralysis?

I'm 17. What's wrong with me? I haven't gotten this in forever and now it's coming back! UGHHHH damn paralysis DIE

and don't you wish everyone knew what this is instead of looking at you like your on crack?Am I the only teenage girl with sleeping paralysis?
Up to as many as four out of every 10 people may have sleep paralysis. This common condition is often first noticed in the teen years. But men and women of any age can have it. Sleep paralysis may run in families. Other factors that may be linked to sleep paralysis include:

    * a lack of sleep

    * a sleep schedule that changes

    * mental conditions such as stress or bipolar disorder

    * sleeping on the back

    * other sleep problems such as narcolepsy or nighttime leg cramps

    * use of certain medications

    * substance abuse

Most people need no treatment for sleep paralysis. Treating any underlying conditions such as narcolepsy may help if you are anxious or unable to sleep well. These treatments may include the following:

    * improving sleep habits -- such as making sure you get 6 to 8 hours of sleep each night

    * using antidepressant medication to help regulate sleep cycles

    * treating any mental health problems that may contribute to sleep paralysis

    * treating any other sleep disorders, such as narcolepsy or leg crampsAm I the only teenage girl with sleeping paralysis?
no, no one is the only one with something, especially for sleep deprived teenagers, probably u should look at yr habits
It's not as uncommon as you might think. The folks in the ';Mental Health'; category chat about it all the time.
i had it when i was in my young teen years and its awfull! maybe you could ask your doctor?

  • Where can an '; White Teenage Male'; get a college scholarship?

He has gr8 grades. By the time he graduates highschool he will have an AA.Where can an '; White Teenage Male'; get a college scholarship?
Pretty much anywhere anyone can, which is to say at most schools. Specific scholarship policies depend on the school: some, particularly the best schools, have needs-blind admissions and will make sure any student who can get in has enough money to attend, others have merit aid which goes to the most capable students. In both cases, I'd say he's going to be fine, in fact your description suggests that he can go for an Ivy.Where can an '; White Teenage Male'; get a college scholarship?
it's more than grades. it's volunteering, service, what classes you took, if you applied yourself, if you behaved well. if you are exceptional. just having ';gr8 grades'; isn't going to cut it.
Huh? You won't get any kind of special treatment for being white. And you're not going to get any kind of scholarship being--of all things- white.

And I know what you're thinking: Well...black people get scholarships to go to college. That's racist.

It's not racist to provide assistance to an under-privileged racial group in order to promote their education and success. Any sane person is well aware of the social restraints and hardships that many young blacks face that prevents them from getting a good education. It is a reality today and these funds and programs are very important. These very limited scholarships are only given to students with high merit and attend a Historically Black college ONLY.

LGBT, what have changed in you by now since your early teenage years?

Or since your early childhood, if you're a teenager.

I mean, changes like, attitude, from shy to outgoing, from geek to jock. Or change of skill, like you used to like sport, and now you're just a fat liar. Or a change in your physical, from a twink to a muscleman.

Well, what's your change?LGBT, what have changed in you by now since your early teenage years?
I went from partying and drinking and doing drugs and staying out for days to being a clean sober part-time student and a mommy. :)LGBT, what have changed in you by now since your early teenage years?
I'm 15 years old(16 in 5 months!) and what has changed most is I've come to terms with my sexuality and embraced it. I can't change who I am, and thats a given. I'm less shy than I used to be, I care about people more and am trying to be less ignorant of others and think before I act. Just to think, 3 years ago i was this kid on meds who was the social outcast at school. And to look at me now, i am just so fortunate of the friends and family that I have.
My confidence in myself and in being gay has strengthened because of my ability to earn my own keep, and not be dependent on my parents or anyone else for ';financial support';.

    Many of the ';dramatic episodes'; in my teenage life (read: intense fights with my mother and sister over my homosexuality) resulted pretty much in one end: my mom rubbing in my nose that ';as long as you live in my house, you will follow my rules, period!';

I just had to gather enough wits (as well as emergency cash to tide me through) as well as a job to finally break free from the tyranny of homophobic oppression inflicted by my own family.

Now, they have afforded me some form of respect because I have done it (made it through, on my own) without their help. It certainly gives me a deep sense of satisfaction, and contentment, to know that whatever happens, I can AFFORD to be me. They still haven't accepted my being gay (I doubt they ever will, coming from the Baptist Christian mold), but we are now talking, and if you knew my mom, you would readily give me a gold medal and call me a ';success';, the mere fact that she would even talk to me after all the hurtful words exchanged.

That would be my biggest change.
Well, one could be that... I used to be oblivious to the fact that I was gay, but now I'm fully aware, haha.

I used to be more clever than I am now. Even though that's impossible, because I know more now than I used to.

But what I mean is... I used to put more effort into learning. I was a good girl. I did all my homework and when I started secondary school [high school], apparently I got one of the highest 11+ scores [I went to a grammar school].

And since year 9, I've deteriorated. Now, I'm definitely not that way. I've under-achieved and the dreams I once had, haven't become a reality. My career choices and such. I wanted to be an architect since the age of 7 [and part of me still does]... but times have changed. I'm planning on going into graphics now.

Dammit! Don't you just hate it when you pick up your drink, to find that there isn't actually anything to drink inside? Lol.. that happened to me just now.
well i used to be really quiet around everyone cuz i have social anxiety but i got medicine when i was 18 and im doing good around people now. and i used to be skinny and now i have some extra weight *sighs* but it seems like everyone i run into after high school has gained weight
I have learned to be more open about who I am, and I am finding life easier now that high school is done. Being gay is not something that holds me back, its the life I was given, and I am responsible for making it the best I can.
Well, i was shy now i am very outgoing. I was a geek and a nerd, still am but now i am a popular geek and nerd, I used to hate sports but now, oh wait... i still hate sports.
My hair is shorter, I'm going gray (hooray!), my body is becoming decrepit and I'm very bad-tempered because of it. Apart from that, I'm still the same, and I still feel like a teenager.
um, i'm a little bit taller, still quiet, have been since kindergarden, um... *shrugs* i can see changes, i just don't know what they are...
    Popular ---%26gt; Geek

Overweight ---%26gt; Slim (I was getting a bit hefty in my early teenage years!)

A bit of a liar ---%26gt; Honest as much as possible! (I only tell white lies now)

    Outgoing ---%26gt; Shy
Well Im more relaxed and outgoing.

Was a huge into sports now a nerd who plays the odd sport occasionally and hence become a big fattie yay

    I couldnt be happier
I'm still the same waist size I was in high school, but my torso has developed a lot more due to heavy labor.
The ability not to give a flying toss what people think about my sexuality.
only thing that's really changed is outgoing to shy. high school changed me.
from twink to muscle guy (I'm no-jock) this guns got it from gym.

frm shy guy to ignorant queen
wow.now that i think about it.

    i haven't really changed since childhood.:P

Why do so many teenage girls do this?

A lot of girls that go to my school tend to go after 21+ aged guys and that is absolutely ridiculous. they always end the same. the girl falls in ';love'; with the guy because he's older and more ';mature'; when yet they guy is a desperate loser. Then they have sex because it's what the guy wants and the girl will give in to anything when it comes to him.

Then the relationship ends and the girl gets really upset, even though she should have seen it coming.

WHY MUST THEY DO THIS?Why do so many teenage girls do this?
When those older guys were your age they saw the same thing. A girl they really liked, but never had the confidence to ask out was swooped up by a older guy. Plus older guys feel more confident around younger girls, and they get to take advantage of them. While guys like you and me just sit back and watch it happen.

About the sex, once the guys has her, she is easily pressured into anything. Just image, your 13 and get to hang out with 18 years old, there all smoking and they offer some to you, you will prolly take it in order to look cool. Same rule implies.

The older guys are more ';mature'; and they don't really ';love'; them...

It's age old sleasssy thing older guys do. Just open yourself to those girls and have the confidence those older guys have (MUCH harder said then done).

Just don't be intimidated by immature young girls who are desperate for the image of a older guy.Why do so many teenage girls do this?
Because most teenage girs want serious relationships and feel secured by guys who have had more experience besides in the sheets but in taking care of them. Girls want to feel more mature and one way is by being in a relationship with an older man. Girls hope things last forever and are such dreamers, it's sad how easily a girl gives her heart away to a guy who doesnt deserve it. I guess it's complicated in a way.
i was one of those girls. the guys seem cool and you think that you look cool dating them. i ended up going back to the guy who was only 6 months older than me because i realized he truly cared. just be yourself and be caring. be the guy who is there when they arent dating them and when that guy is no longer there. then they will realize you are in it for a good reason not just sex.
    most just love the attention

i could totally understand that because when i was in highschool that all i wanted was older guys because they knew how to talk to a women and make them feel great as to the highschool boys who are still learing things about relationships so basically the older men know how to play younger girls
    ha been there done that

im still a virgin of course..

when i was a freshman (15 yrs old) i met this 21 yr old through my friend and he asked me out a week after i had known him.. he was my first bf anddd it lasted for a alllmost 2 weeks.. i ended after realizing what an IDIOT this guy is.. God knows how many gfs he had and wondering why he would ask me out a week after meeting him i ended right there. ladies dont date illegally.. do urselves a favor.. ;)
i do it, honestly guy hoo r 17 want to loose they virginity and girls too, so instead of goin 4 a guy inexperienced they go for guyz experienced learn what they r doin and than they enjoy it so much they keep goin 4 21 yr olds. its normal dont worry wen i was 14 i had a crsuh on a 20 yr old, so every girl goes thru it

Because many people don't know what they want. It's not just girls, and it's not just teenagers. Some people never figure out what it is they truly want, and they spend their whole lives following the same patterns that don't lead them to happiness. :/
they probably think that older guys are more mature, but really they are not.

BUT DON'T OVER DO IT! Too much of that stuff and I get headaches, and I can usually still smell it when I'm no longer near the guy wearing it.
    Why?

Are you a 40 year old perv trying to hook up with a teenage girl?

no im kidding, teenage girls do not like Mens colgone.

Is it loserish to want to keep my virginity through my teenage years?

I don't think i would be ready to have sex at 17 i sometimes get uncomfortable of the feeling of losing my virginity im a guy though so does that make me kind of a loser i don't think i would ever mention this to my friends about me wanting to stay a virgin or anyone personallyIs it loserish to want to keep my virginity through my teenage years?
Have sex when you are ready. Period. Is it loserish to want to keep my virginity through my teenage years?
    I can totally understand you feeling like it's loserish in relation to your guy friends BUT think of who you would rather impress, your guy friends now or the woman you are eventually with when you are older and ready? Exactly. That woman is going to feel so special that you waited for her it will make the waiting worth it. You don't necessarily have to tell your guy friends that you are waiting. Just say a guy never kisses and tells. Truthfully, even if they tease you there is a part of them that is impressed that you aren't just following the crowd because it's ';the thing to do.';
If you don't want to have sex, then don't do it and don't feel ashamed about it. You will regret giving in to peer pressure a lot more than if you don't. Some people your age just aren't ready for sex or they have no desire to do it with someone they barely know. Imagine how much worse it will be to have to face that person every day at school and have him brag about what he did to your friends and then they tell everybody else. I never gave in to the pressure to have sex when I was your age. As a result, there was a lot of speculation as to whether I was a lesbian. I didn't like it at the time but looking back on it now, I see it as being much more preferable to having had a sexual encounter that was meaningless to me. I also can look back with the satisfaction than none of these boys ever got anything from me. They may have had a crush on me but it never went beyond that.
No! it's not loserish at all, I think it's sweet that you want to stay a virgin and even better that you are a guy. There aren't enough guys who are virgins in the world and I don't mean this in a predator-ish way lol. I think it says a lot about who you are and where your moral standing is. Shows that you have control over your life and that you choose to do things your way and stick to your beliefs. That you are not some loser who does things because everyone else is doing it.

But if along the way you feel like giving it up to someone you fall head-over-heels for, go for it. Let your self and your ideals evolve as you grow up. A 20 year old doesn't want the same things a 17 year old does and therefore you should allow yourself to re-evaluate your decision.

    Hope this helps!
I don't think it is loserish at all i think its cute that you wouldn't want to lose your virginity and it makes you different than all guys a lot of girls would want a guy like you. Most guys only want the sex so if you get a girlfriend or have one then they will probly respect you more knowing thats not what you want.
theres really nothing u can do that will make u a loser. just Own it. whatever u choose to do. plus its no ones business what u are or arent. if they ask for ur input u can always say ';wouldnt u like to know'; and stick ur tongue out. joke around with it. if ur with guys talking about gettin some u dont need to have any imput lol. they are perfectly entertained with it or without, Trust me =P i think its okay to have sex when ur teen but its also totally okay to stay a virgin. just rock ur choice, whatever u pick. and congrats to u and ur awsome self-control =D
NO it does not. and do not think that. It makes you strong that you can wait. A lot of people take sex to lightly and do it at EARLY age. To them sex is just fun. Others like you and me think sex is romantic and want to save it for a special situation at the right age. Be proud of ur decision, it is easier to not do it than doing it. But reality is that you might lose some bfs cuz of it. My first relationship i lost him cuz i did not want to do it. Guys are horny, what can i say? But its ut gift to whoever u want to give it to , whenever you want to give it them.
If it isn't right for you, then you are very smart to listen to that little voice. Have pride in both your standards and your courage to live by them.

My husband was very worried to tell me that he was a virgin when we first met - It only made me think more highly of him.

Iisten to your gut - It is NEVER wrong.
for everyone that thinks this person is a girl... he said he was a GUY

anyway... that may seem loserish to your friends but for many girls it makes you the opposite of loser. it makes them know that you were smart enough to wait and not lose it with the first girl who walks by
hell no! im waiting tell im married and im not even religious...i just have standards. i respect my self and i am sorta old school and conservative....anyways this about you not me so i have to say is u have that right to want to be a virgin. it does not mean you are a loser just cause your a guy . its your private life
you don't need to mention it to your friends. Most of their stories are lies anyhoo. You are totally not a loser. It is just what society has pounded into our heads. You are a better person than most for not going along with what everone else is doing.
    Don't sweat it dude.

I'm fixing to be 17. and I haven't lost mine either.

My friends talk **** to me alot. But ultimately, it's about what I want. Not what they want.

And I'm kewl with it. Just do what you want bro. Remember you aren't alone brotha!
It would take alot of will power for a guy to stay a virgin but its great to hear. never rush these things and who gives a crap what your friends think. they are the losers for not being able to control themselves. i congradulate you on this.
DEFINITELY not a loser (from a girl's perspective, and you can ask any of us). You should wait until you are in a loving, committed relationship and ready. The girl (or guy) will understand too.
no dude it is your choice your life do what you want and you will be very very happy so if you wanna keep it keep it if you don't then don't choose whatever you want
No, it does not make you a loser. Many girls would admire this quality in you. Just wait until you meet the right girl, take your time, and don't compromise your morals for someone else. Good for you!
Do what's right for you and by you. It's your decision to make, and it doesn't make you a loser.
No, its not'; looserish'; to think for yourself. Your friends are mostly blowing smoke about made up experiences, anyhow. Seventeen yr old boys did that when we still lived in caves.
I wish I would have lost mine earlier b/c doing it by myself kind of ruined the real experience the first time.
    hell no

havin sex is just a stepping block into doing it more....it should b done with someone u truly love
It's not loserish, it just means you have standards. I commend you for waiting and not being a sluttttt.
    NOPE!!! =]

haha im gonna wait but ima gurl =]

nahhh forget about what ppl think do what you wanna do =]
100% no. It's something to be proud of.
you shouldn't feel like a loser for having self respect
    no
i didnt have sex till i was legal age. and i didnt do that till i had contraceptives carried around condoms and coudl legally buy them. face it sex is like a box of chocalates.. u never know what u are gonna get. im a girl and i don't think your a loser at all i think it responsible and mature. and maturity is a mature womans magnet ( ppl who are sexually responsible keep themselves healthy) i think its a healthy thing to wait or to be careful. besides ruining whatever childhood u have left with pregnency if u have hiv and know it and give it to soemone else u can be jailed... and 20% of american teens get pregnent and more than 25% have a std and those are the ones that get tested. always be prepared for soemthing i belive and less partners u have less people u have to worry about( everyone they been with and u been with u basiccally are being intimate with... by proxy so be careful) guys your age might say u are a loser but they the same who ll most liekly knock someone up or get a std . think about it the nerds who get called losers in school are the millionaries of tomorrow and the popular kids often are the burger flippers... so why care what they think? plus again maturity is a babe magnent . but seriously.. the guys who are saying theyve had alot of girls... most liekly are lying or overcompensating for something.( in my studies i found more males who didnt say anything about sexlives had the healthiest ones. and most guys at a young age bluff.) plus its not quantity of sex its quality of it. youll learn that in the future.
NOT IF YOU WANT TO MARRY A GUY WORTH HAVING, BECAUSE HE IS LOOKING FOR A GIRL WORTH HAVING. ARE YOU WORTH HAVING HOE.

Heart pain in a teenage girl?

I sometimes get a really bad horrible pain in my left side where my heart is. It is worse when I breath in and if I breath hard enough there is a defined ';pop'; and the pain disperses. Does anyone know what this is?Heart pain in a teenage girl?
it is possible you have an undiagnosed heart condition or even a lung condition. if you can feel or hear this pop you seriously need to be seen by a doctor.Heart pain in a teenage girl?
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT EXACT SAME THING!!!! :O :O :O okay so I had it for a while but then it just eventually went away. Try going to a doctor, and I know EXACTLY how you feel. :(
any time you have chest pain you should go see your doctor....you will be the first one they take back to a room because chest pain isnt anything to play around with....it could be nothing but then again it could extremely serious I would definitly go to your family doctor or go to an emergency room just to be on the safe side because honestly you dont have pain for no reason...

Question From A Bored Teenage Male Concerning Penile Size?

Just turned 16 and decided to measure my Wang for the hell of it. I did multiple trials and the average was 6.10'; and the longest was 7.00';. I was just wondering is that was normal, larger, smaller, whatever. My height is 5';6' if that matters any.

And as a follow up. I doubt I'm going to grow anymore (as in my body, height wise) does that mean my happy place won't expand anymore either? and if it will, when does it stop growing and how much extra should I be expecting?Question From A Bored Teenage Male Concerning Penile Size?
Your minimum length (6.1';) is pretty much the average for adult males, and your maximum length (7';) is above the average. You're probably somewhere in between, or about 6.5';, which is basically an ideal length for any man.Question From A Bored Teenage Male Concerning Penile Size?
Normal for you, take a look at dad, brothers , uncles etc to get a idea how big you will grow. I did not stop growing till I was 25 so you could still have a bit to grow yet.
Yes, we KNOW how bored you are, bcoz you keep on asking this dumb question. Trying to hook up are you?

Quit asking, or it might get reported as spam.
You are on the high side of adult average. At 16, your are most likely done growing in that area.
wow dude your piece fluctuates almost an inch?

thats pretty funny. you must have been pretty horny when its at its biggest
the best thing to do is ask your mom ,she hs had them all .

    hahhahaahahhahahahahaahaha you dumb fuk
im 20 and about 7 in. and havent grown since i was 15. i would say thats above average tho

  • Whats that old movie when this old man falls for a teenage girl, at the beginning shes laying inthe sprinklers?

its kind of a weird movie i know he like picks her up from camp and then shes lying in the sprinkles and that's the only parts i can remember... i think the girls name is loretta or something close to thatWhats that old movie when this old man falls for a teenage girl, at the beginning shes laying inthe sprinklers?
    Lolita.

Maybe.Whats that old movie when this old man falls for a teenage girl, at the beginning shes laying inthe sprinklers?
Definitely ';Lolita.'; The first version stars Shelley Winters as the mom, James Mason (as HUmbert), Sue Lyons as Lolita, and Peter Sellers as Quilty.

In a more recent version, made in the late 1990s, Melanie Griffith plays the mom, Jeremy Irons is Humbert, Dominique Swain is Lolita, and Frank Langella is Quilty. This one is much more explicit than the first, and in my opinion, a little creepy.

Do parents hate their teenage children?

I haven't liked my mom since i was 5 years old. Now that I am a teenager it's getting worse. She just loves to ruin my love life then she gets on the phone and tell other people about it and what she did. Just cause she might not like her own life doesn't mean i can't like mine. Why do parents do this do they just hate their children who are teenagers.Do parents hate their teenage children?
OK, maybe some of what she does is for your own good, but if she is bragging to all of her friends about it, she could be extremely narcissistic or have ego issues.Do parents hate their teenage children?
Every teen thinks at one point or another their parents, especially their mom, hates them. I used to think that, but now that I'm a little older with 2 little ones of my own i now understand that everything my mom did was to keep me safe and protect me, even though i didn't get it at the time. The day you have a child you will learn what it's like to truly love someone more than you love yourself, and what's it's like to worry all the time about them. My mom once told me she hadn't gotten a good night sleep since the day i was born, and now I get it. I go to bed worrying about my children all the time, what could happen to them, their health, etc...I'm glad that my mom's still here on this earth so I can tell her that I now get it. Some of my friends have lost their moms and when they had children and finally saw the light, it was too late to apologize to their mom and say thank you for everything.
Are you kidding? Parents love their children more every day. Mine are 32, 27, and 18. Love means doing and wanting what is best for your children, not always giving them what they want.

I do want to add this; parents are human and sometimes they have emotional problems that effect their relationships., along with physical, financial, etc. problems.Tell you mom how you feel, ask her if there is anything you can do to improve your relationship. It's worth a try? Good luck
well i can tell you about parents that truely hate their child. my parents hate me and have since the day i was born. they never wanted me. im the second child of 2 and my older brother is perfect in there eyes. he can do nothing wrong. they had him and thats all they needed. when i was born i was seriously an after thought. they honestly didnt care what i was doing and stuff like that, even when i was little. my older brother is the one who took care of me. he's the one who loved me. he made sure i was taken care of, that i had my bath before bed, that i had dinner, that i was home when he said i needed to be. and he's only 9 years older then me. he was the only one who cared enough to disapline me when i screwed up. my parents really didnt care. they didnt even bat an eyelash when he told them he was moving to the US(were from Canada) and he was taking me with him. the basically couldnt get rid of me fast enough. that is what its like to have parents who hate you.

im not trying to take over your question and make it all about me. im just trying to make you see that you dont have it so bad at all. your mom sounds like she loves you and just wants you to be safe. thats not hate at all. my parents call my house all the time...to talk to Kris(my brother). if i answer the phone, they'll say put your brother on. if hes not home, they just hang up. not even a hi Alyssa how are you or anything. be glad you have parents who care. cuz it sux when they dont.

i love my brother with all my freakin heart. and he loves me just as much. he's more like a father then a brother and if it wasnt for him, i dont know what my life would be like. he makes my life normal.
To protect you because they care for you

    You will understand one day

Your friends that does not have that, wish they did, I was one of them

Does some parents go to far, yes

Does some teenagers go to far, yes

Give your mom a break, she is doing her best
Maybe its just your mother that is like this. Mine was not nor am I that kind of mother. And everyone that I know that has teenaged children are not like that.

I think its just your mom.
Dude, my parents love me and I love them and I'm a teen.

So don't stereotype other parents just because you don't like your mum.
    No...

Are Texas teenage fathers responsible to pay child support to their teenage girlfriend?

What are the laws for fathers who are minors to support their child? Are Texas teenage fathers responsible to pay child support to their teenage girlfriend?
Abloslutely! Go to www.attornygeneraloftexas.org I think that is the site or google it. He will have to pay 20% of his income to the child. They will order SOMETHING to you. Also go to WIC and any othe ragency that can help. He IS responsible. Dont let his age or line of BS sway your decision. You have only one loyality now and that is to that baby. Put on child support ASAP! Good luck! Are Texas teenage fathers responsible to pay child support to their teenage girlfriend?
they have to pay if they are the father
It dosen麓t matter if there is a law if you got her pregnant you should pay.Don麓t be an asshole.
    sorry i have no idea
    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All fathers are required to support their children regardless of where they live
You must pay child support in Texas, no matter what.

And texas court doesn't mess around. If you don't pay, you go to jail.

If you are a father, be a man.

If you are the mother, you owe it to your child to get some support.
if your old enough to have sex, have a kid, your old enough to pay up buddy. she had to cary the thing for 6 months, do somethin.
Here in Texas you have to pay for that child until it turns 18 whether you a minor or not. As soon as you get a job you can expect to be paying for the child you made. Its your responsibility.
Of course they're responsible. I'm almost positive they have a legal responsibility but better than that, they have a moral responsilbility.
I don't think the age matters, the father is responsible but I would that if the father is a minor the babies mother could try and get money from the fathers parents. but you should call a lawyer to find out for sure
YES. I work with an attorney in Texas, and if you are the father of a child, you are responsible to give almost 25% of your income to the child. That is not very much, and most of the time is not enough to support half of the child. A DNA test is required for all children who go though the Texas child support division b4 the father is required to pay a dime. If the child has already been born, you may have to pay back child support for the months that the baby has been alive. No matter how old you are, you are bound by these laws if you are a father. Hope this helps. You may check with your local courthouse and get in touch with the child support division if you have anymore questions. Good Luck.

very confusing she has everything, ok so why do not you prepare a new idea for her, get her an oil paiting for her pic , you can find good ideas on http://paintyourlife.com/
Why do you just give her a $60 in cash since you don't know what to buy as a gift? If she have the money, she can buy the things she wanted. That is what I always do with my siblings and kids.

  • What is the average/target weight for a 5'11'' teenage girl?

IT depends on the persons frame and body type, etc.

I think its probably between 140-170ish? The rule I've heard is 100 lbs at 5 ft for an 'average' weight, then add 5 pounds per inch of height. So it would be around 155 for a middle weight at that height?

There really is no set 'target' weight though. You could try a BMI calculator to see if a particular weight is healthy though I guess?

http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/What is the average/target weight for a 5'11'' teenage girl?
I found a website that you could try below.

About 155-170... But you also need to take muscle mass into consideration.. Muscle weighs more than fat.
The formula for losing weight is simple - consume less food and workout more - the difficulties surface when we actually try to put that into operation! There are lots of stumbling blocks in the big wide world aren't there?! I discovered some good advice by visiting the website in the box below, they have lots of tips and tricks, I shed 9 pounds by using their methods.

What are some negative side effects of childbirth during your teenage years or any other years :P ?

Teenage years you're actually (physically) in your best state for childbirth (unless you're VERY young, when it can be dangerous, I mean mid-teens onwards). The older you get, the riskier it gets, but really within reasonable age brackets most women are able to recover from childbirth very well these days. Of course there can be complications and there are too many possibilities to list. But if you're talking about the negative effects of a normal, healthy, complication free childbirth, the negative side effects are minimal, it's mainly aesthetic things such as saggy/stretchmarked skin (rather a side effect of pregnancy than labour though)... your vagina can end up looser if you don't do your pelvic floor exercises, you can have tearing of the perineum or labia (I had one of each, not fun!), and if you have a very serious perineum tear this could result in necessary future caesarians (my friend has just been given that news after a 4th degree tear). Otherwise, if you've had no complications as I said then once it's over, it's over, your mind does a great job of forgetting the pain over time and it's a very empowering experience for a woman to have been through labour! What are some negative side effects of childbirth during your teenage years or any other years :P ?
Stretch marks and I've heard of this girl who had heart failure doing labor, but her baby was beautiful. What are some negative side effects of childbirth during your teenage years or any other years :P ?
stretchmarks that don't help your Image at all!!

Why do young teenage girls get pregnant and what oppurtunies do they have after having a baby?

an adult has no athority to awnser this question. a girl could have the best upbringing and tons of opprotunities and still get pregnant. they make the desision to have sex and some of their babies are planned and some arent. im a teen mom and i have friends who are teen moms. we all went to an amzing high school and had very good parents and were religious. upbrings has less of an effect on teens then most people think. and as for oppurtunities, girls who have their child before their 18, there are government scholarships to pay for these girls college education. people look down on teen moms. i think they are some of the strongest girls. yes they made a mistake, but everyone does, their mistake just had a bigger outcome. i think people who look down on these girls should be looking at themselves. youve done your share of stupid stuff so why is what we have done worse. i think so many that look down on us are the worst kind of hypocrates. Why do young teenage girls get pregnant and what oppurtunies do they have after having a baby?
They get pregnant becuz they have unprotected sex. Pretty much they make a stupid choice to have sex at a young age and then hey don't protect themselves. Though sometimes they are just fooling around and some sperm gets on the outside and bam knocked up virgin. I know it sounds far fetched but its true...it can happen.

I have a friend she is 16 and has a son. Basicly her mother cares for her baby so she can finish school and still have a social life. I don't like that her mother isn't making her own up to her responsiblities. But I guess its good she'll finish school.

Most young parents are left to struggle. They go get a GED and a McDonalds job and just try to make it. Its not impossible but most don't even try to get a college education. They just lay dow and give up. Though there are the few that don't let a stupid choice they made hold them back from becoming a great mother and getting a career.

My friend Nicole got pregnant at 12 and had her baby at 13. She had to grow up fast. I can remember just a few months before we were playing and she said she wanted to loose her virginity. We both decided to do it but I didn't. She got pregnant had a baby girl and ended up busting her *** working a dead end job. I haven't seen or heard from her in like 7 years. Maybe more. Last I saw her she was on drugs. Her and the babys father weren't together. Why do young teenage girls get pregnant and what oppurtunies do they have after having a baby?
you should have said why are they allowed to get pregnant?

There moms and dads allow them to be gone from there sight and authority, they are never held accountable for anything , there opportunities are very few but if she gets connected with some nice social worker who knows the system she can probably get her into school and a daycare for the kid and then a job for her.
They simply get pregnant because if they had parents who could punish them when they are young to know right from wrong without the nieghbors ratting on them and having those kids taken away , those now teeage girls would know why you don't get knocked up before you have an income to support the kid! Common sense is gone! And '; THOS'; kids are having kids now so what the **** will the future be like?
oppurtunities!!! do you want fries with your order??
I think it has to do with how they are raised but then again there are parents who raise them well but you get peer pressure and involved with the wrong crowd.
Because they aren't taught the value of themselves. And they aren't taught about abstinence being a positive thing.

When you are taught that sex is normal with whomever you please (even if you are ';protected';), these are the kind of results you get.
    Hello there.

You have asked two very important questions. Unfortunately they are also both long complicated answers. I could write a book on WHY teenage girls get pregnant. In a nutshell girls get pregnant because they are looking for the love and attention that they do not get from their parents. Mothers are no longer interested in being mothers, They are interested in their jobs which they think are more important than taking care of their children. As long as they do not understand that taking care of their children IS their job there will be gangs, drugs and teenage pregnancies. Women need to accept the job that was theirs before they decided to reject their jobs as mothers. Then teenage pregnancy will become a thing of the past, as will the illegal drugs and the gangs and other unhealthy activities.

As far as what opportunities are available for teenage girls that become mothers, the same opportunities that are available for teenage girls without babies are available to them. Having a baby is not a terminal disease. The oppportunities that are available to young women today are available to young women with babies. They can be anything that they want to be. They can go to college after they have finished high school. There is nothing that will stop them from making their dreams come true.

There are social service agencies that exist for just these reasons and they are available to young girls everywhere.

I have of course only touched on the tip of the factors involved in these complicated questions.

    Lady Trinity~
well most dont mean to get prego it jsut happens and those who plan it feel since most likely thier mother did it young they can too. They ahve lots of oppurtunities. Its up to the teenager to follow it. They can take night classes, go to a community college and even take online courses. Even if they feel they an't at that point in time it can still be a positive thing. My mother went back to school at the age of 42 she is now a certified RN.
is there really a reason to ask this ? some get pregnant accidentally .. some on purpose. we have many oppurtunities .. in some states the government pays for child care while we`re in school or working. some girls get lucky enough to have their parents and grandparents watch the baby while they`re in school or working. a lot of teen moms go on to make it off better than most girls who dont have babies .. because if they really care .. they know they have to make something of themselves to raise their baby and provide them with things they need and want.
This is good...Ok.. I am now 29 and have an 11 year old son and an 8 week old daughter..So I think I can try to answer this one since I got pregnant at 16.

Teenages have kids because they 1.) figure someone will love them 2.) didn't THINK before having sex (I'm guilty of this), 3.) acting out in rebellion, figure they will just have sex and end up pregnant. There are so many reason...and in some cases you must know that some pregnancies are the result of abuse and rape.

As for the opportunities...as for what? work? career? I can say from my personal experiance. I finished High School, only because I was pregnant as I didn't want my son to grow up telling me that I didn't so he doesn't have too, etc. I didn't go to college, as I was working full time until about a year ago, which was out of choice.

I had plans to go to school and further my education but it didn't play out that way.

Now, I have never regretted having my son at a young age, but I do find that being older now, and having a newborn, I appreciate her more and spend more time with her than I did with my son when I was 16-17...you mature alot in 12 years (at least I did)..I wouldn't trade my experiances for anything, I just hope that young girls will pull it together and be responsible for their children, be patient and be good role models..

    My opinion...and life experiance.
Due to lack of general knowledge and believing what they hear(I love you, and i will take care of you and if your pregnant i will not leave you).As for opportunities you need to be more specific i.e; work, school? In today's times many young mothers have many opportunities to work continue their educations and as for marriage or relationships while it is harder to be with a girl who has a child many men do not mind.
ok i m a pregnant teenager. there are so many opportunites out there just some people just try to get them. I am only a month pregnant but I am in my 2nd year of college at the age of 18 and hold a full time job. Parents have nothing to do with it, in fact, mine still think im a virgin. When you fall in love things happen. there are places out there to help teens but there is no reason why a teenager cannot make it after having a baby. they just need to really want it and work for it.

    Just for perspective:

The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins

50 Reasons People Give for Believing in a God by Guy P. Harrison.

    The Old Testament

    The Koran

Spiritual in the Flesh: Bodily Sources of Religious Experience by Robert C. Fuller

    The Bhagavad Gita

The World's Religions by Huston Smith

Any other religious texts that you might find interesting or enlightening.

At least get SOME other perspective. How can you really know what is the truth if you only hear a small part of the story? I don't say this to sway you, but to remind you that an education, even a religious one, doesn't involve only reading what you already agree with and like.I'm a teenage Christian, and I love Jesus!!! Well, you could read The General in his Labyrinth, Macbeth, Catch-22, The Catcher in the Rye, Slaughter House 5, 1984, Midnight's Children, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Don Quijote, The Brothers Karamazov, War and Peace, Anna Karenina, The Ramayana, Candide...

    All worth reading.
The Five Languages of Love by Gary Chapman

When God Writes Your Love Story by Eric and Leslie Ludy (I recommend this one for you, since you are a teenager)

    The Journey by Billy Graham

The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel

I am a woman woman so I have read

A Woman after God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George

What Happens When Women Say Yes to God: Experiencing Life in Extraordinary Ways by Lysa TerKeurs

    All very good books

What are some good places of employment for a teenage female's first summer job?

Fast food restaurants are always good proving grounds...you get to see other teenagers at their ugliest, and have your eyes opened about your peers. You learn to work hard for minimal wage, so that if you land a decent job some day, you are more than thankful for it.

After that, try getting your parents to approach their companies about taking you on as a summer intern. Not for your parents themselves, but to be a gopher for middle or upper management. THAT is a great way to earn a half decent wage, and to learn a little bit about business. What are some good places of employment for a teenage female's first summer job?
TRY AND BECOME A TRAINEE IN A STORE then move on to something bigWhat are some good places of employment for a teenage female's first summer job?
Church may have some needs for file clerk and assistant

grocery store collect the shopping carts

    convenience store cashier

fast food place any job that will offer you
As trainee _ in large size Departmental Stores,

    Fast Food Joints

    NPO / NGO ........................................鈥?!
Besides ';good places of employment,'; you may want to consider a short list of summer jobs which you can create to generate income:

    1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item.

    2. Become a ';poser'; who assists wedding photographers in setting and arranging various individuals in group and single photographic positions. ';Posers'; carry around a sketch book of various sitting and standing poses which consists of onion skin overlays of various wedding pictures bound in albums. Again, contact local wedding photographers and wedding planners, accordingly. The hourly pay is around $10-$12 per hour and you are often invited to attend all dining activities.

    3. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour.

    4. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour.

    5. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel.

    6. Become a proxy/stand-in for neighbors to allow delivery of goods and packages to your home/apartment. Acquire the authority to sign any receipt of incoming packages as an accepting neighbor. Charge $1 per each package handled by you.

    7. Consider becoming a restaurant-cafe customer liaison by using your cell phone at restaurants-cafes to coordinate with the hostess to keep track of waiting customers. Whenever there's a very long period of time to activate a waiting list, you want to offer the restaurant your services so that customers do not have to stand around for any lengthy period of time. And when their name/assigned number comes up; you can call the upcoming customer's cell phone to tell them that they can return to the restaurant and be served. The call back fee is usually around $0.50 cents on a per head basis. For example, a couple would be charged $1.00 while children under 6 would not be charged. Placement of a plaque which outlines your fee schedule near the hostess station is sufficient to garner attention of prospective customers who will value your services since they can do other activities outside of the restaurant -- often beyond the range of any inhouse paging system. You realize that everyone has a cellphone and why not take advantage of the connectivity to make the diner's experience worthwhile. The restaurant will also appreciate the added service you are providing as a customer liaison.

    8. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time.

    Good luck!
You could try the retail clothing industry. While its not the most highest paying of them, I do think it is a good learning experience. It's also pretty fun and you do get discounts on stuff in the store. Some suggestions I have are Hollister Co., American Eagle Outfitters, Forever 21, GAP, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Abercrombie and Fitch.

Also since you are applying now which is getting a little late into the summer then retail is actually probably a better bet. Internships have been given away long ago and most other jobs will require some sort of training meaning that since its so late, companies will be hesitant to hire and train you for such a short time. In comparison, all these retail stores require minimum trainining and are always looking for help. Additionally, since its your first summer job, it's probably more important to find something thats more fun and less intensive.

    Whatever you chose, good luck.

I don't think she should diss you cuz your growing up. People do this at different times. I grew up alot faster then some of my my friends for me all it ment was I made some new friends that were interested in the same stuff but I wanted to keep my old friends. Just wondering how old are you? and what is your friend doing that makes you guys so different like make belive? You should just show her you still know how to have fun like you used to.At what age did you start to like average teenage stuff like........?
    1.Makeup- end of 7th grade

2.Boys- long as i can remember lol. But REALLY starting to like them in 7th grade.

    3.Fashion- 8th grade

4.7th grade- i would take bathroom breaks just to see what i looked like. Now in high school the mirrors are so scratched up and crappy that no one really can do anything about their ';look status';.

    5.8th grade

What grade are you in? You might be wearing too much makeup for your age, or dressing too provacatively (in your friend's opinion) or maybe being too much around boys.. She might be feeling too uncomfortable with where you're heading, or maybe she is feeling too pressured to get into that stuff because of you.

I'm really not accusing you of anything; it happened to a bunch of girls at my school, everything is just so confusing when you're growing up.

    But my bff's little sister is starting to wear too much make-up (she's in seventh grade and wears eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, and eye glitter like everyday), and her and her friends are really kind of focused on boys a lot now, it's so sad to see because we think back and go ';Wow i never acted like that when i was her age.';

So just think about that a little. I'm sorry and i hope you and your friend resolve all issues and can stay friends.
    1. 17

    2. 11

    3. 17

    4. 12...stopped being insecure at 15, but at 17 I started to like looking pretty, not in an insecure way though

    5. I don't get what you mean by that

    Basically when I left high school I started to like what you call ';teenage things';

And don't worry, that happens to everyone. I thought my best friend at that age was growing up too fast too. By 10th grade I wasn't friends with any of the people I hung out with in middle school.. When I graduated high school I made a whole set of new friends. It's totally normal to grow up and grow away from your friends when you're young.
well, makeup i started wearing in 7th grade but my mom was upset, and i looked like super trashy. but by 9th grade i perfected it i guess. i cared about how i looked since 7th or 8th? boys i've always liked. haha but my first boyfriend was 7th grade and all we did was like hug. haha then after 8th grade, i started getting guys attention so yeah. but it depends on how old you are. There's a difference between wearing makeup and wearing too much. like if youre interested in boys, you shouldnt be doing much with them until you've matured more and understand what it means to be in a relationship.
wat she just sounds too immature..who tells someone they dont wanna be friends anymore, its usually u stop hangign out with them, anyways it depends how old u are, im in 8th grade and ive like boys, and fashion since froevr...this year is this year is when i really took my looks a little more seriously, and makep for me is just mascara and eye liner..
I was never into boys (lesbian)

I was into makeup by 7th grade.

I started to worry about how I looked in 3rd grade.

I hate most things associated with teenagers...I grew up really fast, and I don't regret it...I like being mature..
im 13 and i am sooo woried about how i look i drive my mom CRAZY cuz im always like fixing my hair in the mirror while in the car lol

    i wear makeup

    I LOVE BOYS ha
