What is your veiw on teenage abortions?

ok please dont say that abortion is wrong blah blah blah. im writing a government essay and i want to know if you think that a teenager should be able to get an abortion without their parents consent...

please put your age, religion, and if you have any kids yourself

Thank YouWhat is your veiw on teenage abortions?
Yes I think they should be able to get it without parental consent. Parents shouldn't have the choice, I'm pro-choice and think it's the woman's choice so it should be her choice even if she's still a kid. It's wrong for somebody to force another to go through a pregnancy (or to force them into an abortion), parent or not.

Hmmm tough issue!

If a teenager was requesting an abortion at a very young age, then i would be concerned that they were a victim of statutory rape.

But I wouldn't like to see a teen forced to conceive a child they didn't want either. Perhaps that would be the worst scenario.

I'm 27, no kids, raised Christian though probably identify as agnostic.
I'm a 14 Male, no religion, no kids, but my belief is yes. Whether its an accident or not, many teenagers wouldn't be able to raise a child properly due to money and care. You may need to drop out of school for the kid, take time off a job that you desperatly need to raise the child. I don't like abortion, but I think its better than not raising a child properly.
Yes, I do. Teenagers are not fit to be parents. Until we have adequate, extensive sexual education that teaches teenagers how to properly protect themselves during sex, they're still going to get pregnant and transfer STIs to one another. Sex is inevitable. Abstinence education does NOT work, never has. Anyone who thinks so is delusional.

A fourteen year old girl and her sixteen year old boyfriend are NOT fit to be parents. They are still children. Children should not be raising children... and the thing is, they DON'T raise them. Their parents do, if they're lucky. Or the kids get put into the foster care system when their unfit teen parent decides to go on a coke binge or leave them in their filthy diaper for 48 hours because they'd rather be out having fun and enjoying their adolescence.

We live in an overpopulated world, and life just isn't as precious as religious people would like to think it is. You say adoption is the way to go? Tell that to the THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of black kids in the U.S. foster/adoption system right now who will never have a family, and instead get passed from one abusive, neglectful home to another. It is incredibly hard for a non-white child to get adopted in this country, and it's also hard for any special needs children to get adopted because nobody wants to deal with them. The system is teeming with unwanted, abused kids who are going to grow up and get released into a world that doesn't care about them. It's sad and unnecessary.

I'm 21 and not religious. I don't plan on having children at all -- I want to adopt older special needs children from inner city areas.
yes, 33, christian, and 4 children.

its a personal choice, and I have seen so many good kids take a very hard road, so do good, some not so good.
