Most stop by age 16 in some cases 18 but not much after that at all. mostly 16 or two years after their first period. What is the average age a teenage girl stops growing?
It really depend on the person mainy 16 I think because you get A SWEET SIXTEEN or 16-18What is the average age a teenage girl stops growing?
i grew 2 inches taller sometime between 18 and 22.
16-18 i stop growing at 16
My sister is 15, and 5';6 and the Doctor said she was done growing.
When i was young, I asked my mom when i would stop growing and she told me at 19-22.
I've heard 18
About 17. For guys, it's like, 21 or something (no fair, I know).
about 2 years after the said girl's first period all rapid growth should stop.
16
anywhere from 16 to then twenties depending on the individual. An x-ray will tell if the growth plates in the bones have fused, which is when growth stops.
16-18
15-18
i was taught 2 years after their first period.
that may explain why i've stopped growing....im 14 and havnt grown since i was 12! im only 5' 2';!
16-18
Why do you care, you're a guy?
MOST COMMONLY AROUND 16-18
dunno about average, but I think I was done by thirteen, and I think that's not uncommon. Men, on the other hand, tend to grow until they're twenty or more!

Teenage alcoholism. How can you convince a teenager who just started drinking to give up this dangerous habit?
Drinking isn't necessarily a dangerous thing to do. If it does become habitual and addictive, then it can be dangerous. If you think that you are going to convince a teenager to never drink, you will most likely end up with a teenager who drinks behind your back. It would be more realistic to teach him or her about the *potential* dangers, and how to drink responsibly. And prior to dismissing me as someone who blindly supports what you call a ';dangerous habit';, consider that I haven't had a drink in 18 years.
PS. Why have you just asked this question four times in a row? Are you truly seeking advice for a teen, or are you trying to pass your beliefs onto the good people reading your questions?Teenage alcoholism. How can you convince a teenager who just started drinking to give up this dangerous habit?
Show him a few scary movies in regards to alcoholism may scare him a little or get him so drunk that he has a hangover for days and so sick.

Take them for a WALK through a part of town where there are a lot of people that have lost everything from drinking. Take them to an AA meeting and talk to some people that alcohol has caused them nothing but trouble. Take them to talk to someone that has been in an accident with a drunk driver, preferably a teenager, so they can see first hand the affects of alcohol.
dont get them to stop
teach them senible drinking
Teenagers think they're invincible and ';adult rules'; don't apply to them (yet). Visiting a rehab clinic for teenage alcoholism and even an ALA-Teen (part of Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting might help. Ala-teen is a support group for children of alcoholics, they'll tell it straight from a teens point of view. Worst case scenario, a supervised visit to the local morgue may get the message through.

Seriously, I've know mates of mine give up ale because:
1. They're getting a beer belly, b*tch t*ts n a double chin so women stop fancying em.
2. They've met older blokes who eat viagra like smarties because the ale stops them from getting a hard on.
3. Women moan to them about clumsy drunken performances in the bedroom n ale breath.
It's not stopped me from drinking, but I'm not highly sexed, 2 mates of mine are virtually tee-total now tho.
He'll be off the ale n onto the more popular n cool drugs like E's, dope n coke in no time.
Take him to a bar in the South on Saturday night. Someplace like Westmoreland Tn and show him what his life holds for him.
it's called intervention, family and freinds get together ,with the teen and a professional, maybe a reformed acholic and start talking !
I taught in a high school where alcohol was primarily the drug of choice. When our star football player who had a college football scholarship totalled out his truck while drinking, we displayed his crushed vehicle on the school grounds. We videoed the graduation of him crossing the stage in a wheelchair. No sermons, no discussion... I won't say it caused our kids to quit, but it DID start a major discussion among them.
Tell them that they could get totally addicted, get drunk and then drive and kill themselves. Or drive with someone in the car and kill the other person. Then they will probably be sent to prison.

Tell him of all the bad things that can happen to him. Disease, car accidents, losing your drivers licence, change in your mind....stuff like that.Teenage alcoholism. How can you convince a teenager who just started drinking to give up this dangerous habit?
Take them to the city morgue to see bodies of DUI victims. For some people it is an allergic reaction to a physical addiction that is the problem. If someone gets to the point that the NEED a drink to maintain, they better get to an AA meeting or treatment. The only things anyone needs is the basics....food, clothing, shelter. With those necessities, you can get a job, car, life. KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!
get an opera show tape on when they were discussing about addiction, including alcohol. That show got a surgeon ripping off actual human body parts, he/she'll see what's the inside of a dead alcholic's brain.
Difficult. He is constantly influenced by his family, social background, cultural upbringing, etc. It could be easier if his peers or anyone he respects dispise alcoholism.
Some people say that you should force them to drink excessive amounts of alcohol so that they get really sick and don't touch the stuff again. I think that a good tour of the hotspots where the drunks hang out and sleep rough may work, or else tough love and hope that they grow out of it. There is no magic answer to this question.
the tougher you are the more they will rebel just bare that in mind
get him really drunk play some jimmy hendrix and tell him how he died
This teen has ';just started'; and you are already using terms like 'dangerous habit' and 'alcoholism' ... sounds like you are over-reacting just a wee bit?
Let's forget that your darling teen is involved and just look at drinking in general. Moderate, responsible alcohol use is not alcoholism, nor is it particularly dangerous. The vast majority of people who use alcohol do so moderately and responsibly. So calm down, this is ';youthful experimentation'; and not ';a dangerous habit';.
Since your question asks how to convince, you are obviously wise enough to know that you can't compel ... try that, and he/she will just be more secretive.
Why not help your teen learn to use alcohol responsibly, under your supervision? My own parents warned me about hangovers, and then let me drink ';all I wanted'; at a cook-out. That was the last time I ';binged'; and it was over 30 years ago. I still remember how sick I was!
Offer the privilige of enjoying a few drinks at home with family now and then in return for promises to NEVER get ride with a driver who has been drinking, to NEVER drink more than one drink away from home, to NEVER share alcolhol with minors, and so on.
In my own experience, most (not all, nothing is fool proof) teens are so proud and pleased about openly walking around the house with a beer in hand, that they DO practice responsibility with alcohol so as to NOT risk losing this privilige.
If we want our children to ';be responsible'; then we must give them lots of opportunities to make choices between responsible and irresponsible behavior. Keep in mind that it is the nature of young people to sometimes ';mess up'; and this is part of the learning process. You give them a few months to grow up a little more, and then you try again.
Studies have shown that alcohol actually destroys brain function in children/ teens. They do worse in school because their memory is destroyed. Dump all the alcohol in the house down the drain. Dont let this teen go out anymore or hang out with their alcohol using friends. Take charge of your child's life.
I have seen a lot of teens through out my years on earth and not one of them has been convinced to quit drinking, they, for some reason, think they are invincable.
take them to an aa meeting then take to a jail and explain mip laws and jail follows then take to cemetary and ask how many here were drunk drivers
maybe it will work
To make a long story short...I strongly recommend two books.
1. Adolescent Drug %26amp; Alcohol Abuse - How to Spot It, Stop It,
and Get Help for Your Family by Nikki Babbit
2. Getting Tough on Gateway Drugs
Both books are fabulous and easy to read and understand. I work with parents of chemically dependant teens and I delt with this problem within my own children.
Talk to your doctor. Get an assesment and if counselling is recommended, do yourself and your teen a favor and make sure the counselor is certified to work with this problem. Do your homework before making an apt. to make sure they are reputable.
You can't do this allone. You will talk till you a blue in the face and your relationship with your child will be ';on the rocks'; as well as his drink. Families Annonomous is also a great support system and you can find them on the web at www. familiesannonomous.org
Good luck and God Bless.
Tke them with you to a homeless shelter and show them the affects of both drinking, drugs and gambling. It will turn them away from it all for a time but you cant save them forever, explain your fears, tell them what your feelings and experiences are (both good and bad) and then let them decide for themselves, if they are intelligent they will make the right choice.
ask him to go for an x-ray with the colour thingie...just one sip can make the liver dark in certain places.(saw something similar on oprah)
u can tell them that its not right

Do you feel its wrong for a record company to target their new teenage boy band to 90% gays?
Or is it excellent marketing?

I麓d say it was a misjudgement, which was quickly noted and changed.
99.9999% of Take That fans are knicker throwing middleaged harpies.Do you feel its wrong for a record company to target their new teenage boy band to 90% gays?
Excellent marketing.
On the subject of dishonest marketing or 'wrongness' for targeting, simply selling stuff to the queer community is not new, and it is not wrong. Almost everything these days is sold to the heteronormative community.
In my opinion, marketing things to the heteronormative community is usually a lot less nice. It often enforces sexism and gender roles. Marketing targeting the LGBTetc. community can do the same, but... as far as I can see it tends to do less of it.
At least they're not marketing cigarettes to children.
Not at all. It would limit their appeal but its not illegal. Straight people could still like the band or at least the music. Targeting gays doesn't mean somehow theirs only going to appeal to gays just like so called straight boy bands don't just appeal to straight people. In the case of that AI Lambert guy who came in second %26amp; just admitted being gay I think it's to be expected after all its helped with his PR before %26amp; since being open about it %26amp; obviously the gay community has been looking for new ';celebrities'; to further their cause just like any other group or minority looks for a new star. Its still obviously tabet to be gay let alone in the music or entertainment business so when someone is open about it it helps the over all community become more accepted or so the hope is. Nsync wasn't just targetted to young girls or young straight girls but even if it was it wouldn't stop other guys straight or gay from listening to it just like lady gaga doesnt mean guys gay or straight can't like her music either even if she targeted one group or the other. Targeting the community would limit the appeal of the group because again their is a taboit about it %26amp; alot of boy bands need the fantasy minds of young girls holding out hope or having crushes on a member or two in order to help prolong the life of the band. Its another reason why artist try to keep their private lives secret as long as they can because if a popular member gets married or has a girlfriend it can crush the fans hearts %26amp; make the group not as appealing to the girl who then looks elsewhere possibly. Its no different then the Jonas brothers being open about supposeably waiting to marry before having sex after all part of growing up for boys is having sex %26amp; so waiting sort of goes against the grain. But obviously in doing so they open the idea of nice boys to young girls %26amp;/or those girls who are waiting to or religious not feel so bad %26amp; again believe its ok or that not every boy is just about sex. So of course parents like the jonas brothers especially compared to the last 30 years where there havent really been many role models. If you have two sweaters that are the same except for color how do you differencate between the two? marketing that's all it is.
It if worked, then it was clearly a shrewd business move.
Why would it be ';wrong'; exactly, unless you're a homophobe or something?
Pete Waterman once said there were two types of people who bought the records he produced: 9 year old girls and gay men. As a record company boss, he basically targetted his product at those two markets and he did pretty well out of it.
Being gay, I can't imagine that many homosexual males would find that attractive in the least.
They are all incredibly feminine and flamboyant. That is not attractive.
no but but people might say yes becuz one of the backstreet boys was reported gay on the news and one of the judges on abdc is gay so people might say ya
Its only teenage girls and pillow biters who like boy bands anyway.
As for Shambo ........... well, you know he bends it like beckham.

Does anyone know of any good teenage novels to read?
I need some good (teenage) books to read. iDoes anyone know of any good teenage novels to read?
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
Uglies - Scott Westerfeld (and anything else by him)
You Don't Know Me - David Klass
Unwind - Neal Shusterman
Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher
Generation Dead - Daniel Waters
Gone - Micheal Grant
Skinned - Robin Wasserman
Hacking Harvard - Robin Wasserman
Can't Get There From Here - Todd Strasser
The Year Of Secret Assignments - Moriarty
Godless - Pete Hautman
Going Nowhere Faster - (I can't remember the author)
Pretty Little Liars - (Can't remember the author)
All of those books are great!!Does anyone know of any good teenage novels to read?
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is a very original book. This book was AWESOME, and one of the best , if not THE best mystery/horror book I've read. I'd recommend for girls or guys, but not for anybody younger than sixteen, or possibly fifteen. Very graphic scenes.
American Gods by Neil Gaiman is a very original genre-bending novel. If you want something unlike anything you've ever read, I highly recommend this one. Once again, however, beware of some graphic scenes, and over-all weirdness.
The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss is easily the best fantasy book since The Lord of the Rings. If you like any form of fantasy you will love this book. It's easily in my top three favorite books.
Jumper and it's sequel Reflex by Stephen Gould are probably my favorite sci-fi books I've read. Don't be fooled by the movie Jumper, the only things the book and the movie had in common were the names of the people and Davids ability to teleport. Highly highly recommended.
The Dragon Riders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey is an excellent fantasy/sci-fi series. I haven't read all of the books in the series, as it is a very large series, but those that I have read I enjoyed immensely. For the most part you can read them in any order, as they take place over a broad span of time and each book usually has it's own set of characters.
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is also a very good book. It combines several genres but is for the most part a romance. It is quite possibly my favorite romance book. It's aso part of a series, but I've only read the first one.
Twilight if you havent already read the series - in order they are Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn
Well if you like romance novels......(these are some of my favorites!)I cannot rememeber all the authors though soooo umm sorry
Love on the Lifts
Icing on the Lake
Caribbean Crusing
When it happens

What do you think of these teenage girls lookswise?

that is them, rank them in order of prettiness/attractiveness, and explain why! thank you everyone! What do you think of these teenage girls lookswise?
Far right, middle, far left. What do you think of these teenage girls lookswise?
the blonde is decent.
the other two have gigantic noses and aren't cute at all
The blonde is the best, but i wouldnt say they're all hot... too young
The blonde is the best. :)
the blonde is the prettiest and the other girls are a tie
The pig-tailed girl, then brunette in the middle, then the blonde. I'm guessing most people would say blonde as number 1 but her look is so mainstream and generic, I see people like her all over the place. The brunettes at least look a little unique.
Um all of them 5's??
the first one is really cute. she has a friendly look to her and she has a really nice body (her expression shows genuine happiness and she looks content with herself)...her eyes r amazing as well...(she needs a haircut though ,her hair looks dry and split on the ends) i think shes an 8.5
second girl. shes an 8. her brows area bit too thin on the tails for her face. her hair looks really limp...other than that shes looks alright physically
third girl is a 7.5-8
her brows area bit off and a bit too thin in areas, she does look like a very happy person. she has a nice smile. she looks like many girls though...that that that is bad, its just a bit girl next door.
the blonde is the prettiest, and the other two are average. (sorry if you're one of the other two! the blonde seems to be winning). the blonde has hair color that matches her skin tone best and her eyes, and she has a glow of happiness over her skin. the other two look like they're either self conscious or a little sad. happiness and confidence make all the difference in beauty!
5, 6, 6,
None.
yes
aren't u 3 like close friends? so why do you care who is prettier is that gonna help ur friendship?
i think ur all relly pretty :)
u all have a different look and are def. cuties
You are all 10/10, gorgeous =)
One question, why are there people dressed in white clothes with black polka dots in the background?
x
truthfully none well the one in the blacks is ok the other ones are busted
they are all absolutely gorgeous. they all have different things about them that make them so pretty.
the one with braids had pretty eyes, and nice skin.
the one in the middle has a pretty smile, and good eyebrows.
and the last one has really pretty hair, and a cute nose.
[:
They look like the Three Stooges in drag! What's with the face paint, the ghastly hair and the idiotic uniforms?
The blonde one is prettier

What Cologne is the best for teenage boys ? ?
I am 14 and so is my boyfriend and i want to buy himsomething nice for him for christmas and people told me to get cologne but which is best for a 14 year old boy ?
help please xWhat Cologne is the best for teenage boys ? ?
For a fourteen year old boy, most colognes will seem a bit too mature for him. Things from A%26amp;F or Hollister can be expensive, and they will convey a certain message about him. If he's not really the kind of guy to shop at those places, then don't buy him something from there. A goth girl carrying around a bottle of Britney Spears perfume would be strange, right? The same goes for guys.
I would buy him something that you can get a lot of for little money, like Axe or Bod. He probably hasn't learned that ';a little goes a long way'; yet, so he'll be using a LOT. Besides, those are kinda what you expect a teenage boy to smell like. What Cologne is the best for teenage boys ? ?
If I were you i'd get him something you really like, and when he open sit tell him you love the scent and can't wait for him to put it on. he'll eat it right up.
When i was that age a lot of boys wore Joop, that's a nice one..or lacoste.. just smell a few and you should find the one that will suit him!
Hollister or Abercrombie%26amp;Fitch.
Jake from Hollister

Hugo by Hugo Boss.
It's not that expensive, and is one of the better 'any time' smells.
Polo Black or Aqua Di Gio or however u spell itfacial cream printer ink cartridges

What are some fashion trends for teenage girls (14 years of age)?
I would like some more ideas on what fashion trends for teenage girls are in at the moment. Thanks! What are some fashion trends for teenage girls (14 years of age)?
I'm the same age as you, and the kind of things I wear that are in style at the moment are... High waisted skirts/shorts, pendant chains, gladiator sandals, super cute print tee's, skinny jeans, a loose singlet tied in a knot on the hip over a tight singlet, Converse sneakers (gotta love 'em!), famous sunglasses (the ones that are straight across the top) or love heart ones, cute backpacks with little cartoons, etc. on them. %26amp; yeah, hope I helped! What are some fashion trends for teenage girls (14 years of age)?
Well im turning 14 and i wear what im comfortable in and what i think is flattering. At the moment everyone is wearing gladiators because they are in style same with skinny legs. Singlets never go out of fashion and the same with flats (a pair of rubi shoes flats are perfect 2 pairs for $25). Mini shorts ( the jeans) are awsome and so are some high waisted skirts like the other person said. an Awsome warm jumper is good because its coming up to winter ( 2 for $50 in cotton on body) or you can get them from somewhere else. A short sleeved and long sleeved jacket that's thin (grey is best) goes with most outfits and if you wanted/needed something formal but casual a nice cocktail dress is awsome.
Also some boots would be cool.
Bangles and plain necklaces are awsoem because they go with most things (silver is best in my opinion).
hope i have helped.

Todd's shoes- I see teens wearing them everywhere
Skinny leg jeans and a cool top so in right now :P xoxox i love my skinnys :P

A tour to a place for Alcoholics can be great. Sometimes she or he becomes alcoholic because she or he just doesn't know the result of being like that.
Tell him or her that withdrawal from society, health problem, future darkness and everything bad would be the result.Teenage alcoholism. How can you convince a teenager who just started drinking to give up this dangerous habit?
Take him to an autopsy
Show the teen a life of alcoholism and then show the life of someone that is ride of alcohol and successful.

If you are or were a teenage mom who chose to keep her baby?
What would you like other teens (girls and boys) to know about your experience so far?If you are or were a teenage mom who chose to keep her baby?
I'm just lucky to have stayed on the right track and didn't get knocked up. I'm 23 now. i have very strict parents and i knew that i didn't want to get pregnant as a kid because they would kick my a/ss. i wasn't even aloud to have boys call my house until i was 17. LOL. and plus, i just wanted to make something of my life. i knew a baby would hold me back a couple of years. i had friends that were young mothers. I finished school and now I'm working for homeland security. i think I've done pretty well.If you are or were a teenage mom who chose to keep her baby?
I have decided to keep my baby although I am only 16. My boyfriend is 6 years older. My parents are supportive. I know that it will be very hard. Some people call it a mistake but I don't see how another human being could be a mistake. I know that when my baby gets here, I will love him/her will every piece of my heart. Just remember, it won't be easy, but it will be worth it when you see your baby.
I had my first at 18, and I would want teens to understand from my experience that its far better to avoid pregnancy in the first place. Once you have a baby, your whole life is about that baby. There are many things about being a young adult that I missed out on and I regret that.
Once the baby has been conceived though, it needs to be dealt with. From that point I would point out to teens that they need to decide what is best for *them*, be it abortion, adoption or keeping their baby, don't let anyone pressure them into a decision they are not comfortable with.
After having and choosing to keep a baby, I would want them to know that while it means life is different, it doesn't mean life is over. It is possible to succeed in life while being a teen parent, to be a good parent, to finish their education, to have a good job, and a home of their own. It's harder, but it's possible.
yea id keep it but if there was no way i was able to keep it id adopt it but id never have an abortion. my experience.. well im a virgin so i dont have that much
Well, I was 19....there was never another option to me....I kept my daughter and thankful everyday for her! Good Luck!
If I had been unmarried and pregnant, I would have looked at what was best for the baby - ADOPTION!
im keeping mine, i wanna say thet the decision is yours and dont let anybody tell you u r ruining your life, cuz yur not
I was a teen mom. I now have a beautiful 17 years old daughter and I wouldn't change it for the world. I am very fortunate because her father is a part of her life although we are not together and my husband has been a part of her life since she was 10 months old.Not every teen mother struggles but most do. I would advise them to wait until they have lived a little but I also want them to know that you can still accomplish your dreams and for them not to allow anyone to make them believe otherwise.
They will be OKAY! It is so scary, but you'll make it
I don't have first hand experience of being a teen mom but these girls did. I agree with the person above.
More teen moms that did ok:
-my 19 year old cousin with two girls (they live with aunt)
-our family friend's sisters' daughter (18) and married with a daughter
-my next door neighbor (20) though she was 19 when she got pregnant.
-my other 21 year old cousin. Got knocked up when she was 18. Lives in Chicago.
-my boy cousin isn't a teen mom but a teen dad. His girlfriend is/was probably a teen when she conceived. They are both 20 now.
i had my first baby at 15 he is now 15 get as much help as you can but also remember you are a parent now your teenage life is over to an extent. my son loves the fact of us being close in age we have a great relationship!!!
My first concern was: my mom just bought me some really expensive jeans and she's going to be pissed that i can't wear them.
My second concern was: I can't believe a doctor is going to look at me ';down there.'; I was terrified.
My boyfriend's main concern was that I wouldn't lose the weight after having the baby.
This just goes to show what priorities are to teens. Not once did we worry about money, education, jobs, etc. It was all about appearances.
It is possible to be a good mother even though people say it isn't. It's also possible to make something of yourself.
I was a young mum and now in late 20's (ok, ok 29!!) have had another.
It doesn't matter your age or who much money you have you can still be great parents, believe in yourself.
Its hard but so worth it, (but remember its hard no matter what age you are).
Dont think people look down on you, hold you head up high and show the world you made the right choice.
When you need help don't be afraid to ask.
and most of all HAVE FUN.
Well I am a 29 year old mother of a 11 year son and 14 year old daughter, and let me tell you it wasnt easy!! I did finish school but it was very hard. I now own my own home and am ok finacial wise. It is kind of neat getting to grow up with them but sometimes stressful. I love them both very much and couldnt live a day with out them.

Why am I so attracted to teenage girls?
I'm about 20 but more attracted to girls in the 14-15 range than girls my age. I haven't done anything with someone that young though..Why am I so attracted to teenage girls?
I honestly think that's pretty normal, although most people won't admit it. In modern society, the ideal is held to be a couple that are about the same age. But in the old days, the husband was usually much older than the wife. And to be honest, I think they had it right in the old days.
Even Plato recommended ages 20 and 40 for a woman and man who are getting married. Today that would be called ';creepy';, but perhaps there is something to it.
Notice also how, as you yourself are, many older man are attracted to younger girls (honestly I don't think that's wrong) and also notice how younger girls tend to always be attracted to older men and not boys in their age group.
Now just to get clear, I'm not saying it is necessarily a good thing for a man to be 20 years older than his wife, I'm just saying that, in general, I think the husband should be older, and 5 years older is not a problem with me. Nobody bats an eye at couples that are 75 and 70 (for example) but for some reason, 20 and 15 is viewed as ';creepy';. Heck, society is screwed up.

What are some good books for teenage girls???
Heres some books I've already read and loved:
The Clique Series
Shug
Pretty Little Devils
also if you have any books that are sort of supernatural or with vampires and like the clique books that would be great. I'm pretty open for any type except non fiction and history. Thnx. What are some good books for teenage girls???
Twilight saga.
The Mediator Series
Harry Potter.
Gossip Girl
The Princess Diaries.
Blonde Ambiiton.
The Devil Wears Prada. What are some good books for teenage girls???
Omg! and I thought no one knew the book Shug.
There's a book about fairies called Wicked lovely by Melissa Marr. It's Britain writing (fairies=faeries) but other than that, it's really good. It's about this girl called Aislinn who sees fairies when she's not supposed to. I can't tell you anymore because it'll ruin it.
There's a series, the first is called Tithe by Holly Black. Also about fairies, you have to mind the cussing.
Twilight series if you haven't already heard about it. By Stephenie Meyers.
Fantasy and action by Terry Brooks. Really catchy.
Books by Eoin Colfer (sp) they are about fantasy (Artemis Fowl)
Books by Meg Cabot. She has written a variety. The mediator is a good one.
That's all I know on a short notice. Enjoy!

Im not sure if theyre your thing but the gorgia Nicolson collection is really funny, its about the life of a teenage girl with an insane family. But i also like reading Malorie Blackman try Nougts and crosses, its a non fiction about racial abuse. Another one about vampires written by Malorie Blackman is Truth or Dare, that also is a fantastic book
Another one i read that was abit of a hard read because it was sad but also a true story is :
Sabeen Dardenne : I Choose to live
A true story about a girl who was abducted and sexually abused, its not too explicit though, its more about the psychology of it.
';He's just not into you'; is really good as well as the other books of the series like ';your just not into him either'; There are also a series of book about a teenage girl and she encounters ghost and vampires and she goes to highschool, She even falls in love with one! I forgot what the books were called but I know they're by meg cabot.
Twilight is a very good book. Its about a girl and a vampire falling in love.
I also like The Vampire Diaries, its not all about romance though but I think it was still awesome, I liked it better than Twilight to be truthful. Also about a girl and a vampire, there are also phsycics.
1.reader's digest
2.the da vinci code
3.the last detective
4.eat cake(the name looks silly ,but it is a great story)
5.the blue carbuncle.........etc would be good for teenage girls
Vampire Series:

The Maximum Ride series
The Twilight Series
Looking For Alaska.
the twilight series!!!!!! and sisterhood of the traveling pants
Gossip Girl and the It Girl series
I HATE TWILIGHT!!! DONT READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a lot of teenage girls like the twilight series
The Pretty Little Liars series is great, it has romance and sort-of mystery.
The Private series are also very juicy.
Try Meg Cabot, my favorites from her are: Pants on Fire, How to Be Popular, Avalon High, and Jinx. The Mediator series are also very good. Try the Princess Diaries too. It's not at all like the movies.
If you haven't already, try the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants. These are really good, and realistic.
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is fantastic. I think every girl should read it.
Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen is very good.
Things Change by Patrick Jones is also very good. It's a heavy read, and don't even bother if you don't like sad endings.
Rachel Hawthorne is a decent writer if your looking for a light read. Her books include: Carribean Cruising, Snowed In, Island Girls (and Boys), The Boyfriend Leage.
The Simon Romantic Comedies are also great for fun, easy reads. My favorite was A Novel Idea.
Elsewhere and Memoirs of a Teenage AMnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin are both great. You see things from a different perspective,
The Georgia Nicholson series are laugh-out-loud funny.
I read a book recently called ';If I have a wicked stepmother, where's my prince?'; I forgot the author, but I liked it.
Maureen Johnson: Thirteen Little blue envelopes, Suite Scarlet.
The Angels in Pink series.
The Sweet, Terrible, Glorious Year I Truly, Compltely Lost It. [ This book was quite funny. I liked it a lot]
Lost It by Kristen Tracy.
Wicked Lovely, by Melissa Marr. This book was weird, but I loved it.
Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty, and all the sequels.
Bloom by Elizabeth Scott (I highly recomend all books by this author)
All books by Scott Westerfield kind of make you look at life differently. I especially recomend the Uglies series and the Peeps series.
Stargirl and Love, Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
Nick and Norah's infinite playlist by Rachel Cohn.
When It Happens by Susane Colasanti is great. It's one of my favorites.
Jahnna N. Malcom: Perfect Strangers, Message in a Bottle, Mixed Messages, The Write Stuff, are all books that have something to do with letters.
What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones (There's a sequel to this).
Twilight, if you haven't already.
The A-List books, if you haven't already.
A great and terrible beauty, and it's sequels: Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Side.
SARAH DESSEN! You absolutely must read every single book by her. I love them, and I worship her.
These are just some of my favorites...facial cream printer ink cartridges

Why do a lot of teenage boys have quite long necks?
I think chicks find it attractive when they wear open neck shirts or a polo shirt with their collar up. looks free and relaxing for their necksWhy do a lot of teenage boys have quite long necks?
It stops their heads from falling off.Why do a lot of teenage boys have quite long necks?
Long necks are a result of the stretching that happens when teenage boys masturbate. The longer the neck, the more they do it.
Because their mums fu*cked a giraffe that's why they are spotty too!!!
hell if I know, pull your head out of your @$$.
girls do as well, long like a giraffe

Yes, try Meg Cabots Mediator Seires. It's about a girl who can see ghosts %26amp; then she falls in love with one. If you like the Twilight books, you'll like those.
Also, try Jodi Lynn Anderson ';Peaches'; series.

Is it wrong for a teenage girl to like Chuck Palahniuk's books?
(That teenage girl being me)Is it wrong for a teenage girl to like Chuck Palahniuk's books?
No. Not at all.Is it wrong for a teenage girl to like Chuck Palahniuk's books?
Of course not
I know many people of certain age
like say from between 10 and so on...
and they all appreciate the author so, it's not that big of a deal
regardless of whichever book it is, as they're all meant for entertainment.

Why do people only judge teenage moms?
why dont they judge teenage dads. i mean both people made the baby so why is it only teenage moms get judged? Why do people only judge teenage moms?
it's stupid
people are sexist
they pressume because you are the one who carried the baby, its ur fault, u made the bad decision
both people should be seen as having equal responsibility
hey besides, why even blame anyone... if a baby is born then its done, teenage mums and dads should be given support not be 'blamed' for their mistake, or even wat they wantedWhy do people only judge teenage moms?
Have you ever read The Scarlet Letter? It talks about a woman who has to wear this bright red letter A for Adultery on her chest all the time as a punishment and how that really sets her apart from society, even when people almost forget why she's wearing the letter.
Carrying visible evidence of anything perceived as a misdeed will always attract more judgment than if you have no visible evidence. It's not nice and it's not fair, but sadly, it appears to be human nature to do so.
I judge teenage dads, but I've known enough teen moms that I have rather more sympathy for their situations than a lot of people do.
Good question. It's definitely not fair as both a dad and a mom made the baby. However, I think the fact that the girl carries the physical sign of both the pregnancy and then the child it identifies her. Boys don't get pregnant and typically (but not always) don't raise the child.
Now I can tell you this scenario bothers me, but unless over time, we change society's norms it will remain that way. I am teaching my son that if he plays, he pays so to speak. Meaning if he is man enough to have sex, he is man enough to deal with the consequences. He will get a part time job to help pay for the baby and he will invest his time in the child. Being a male and not carrying the child physically in his body, does not give him a free ride.
Bottom line is unless more people do as I am doing with my son, then you will have this.
because the moms were supposed to have been given the information they needed to make the right decisions in giving their body away. Moms have birth control issues that they should have been able to think about. Teenagers fall in love so fast and furious that they forget that it may not be a lasting relationship. That their futures will be affected. This is because they think that sex means love when in fact its an act of love. When a woman gives herself to a man in an act of sex, its fun but the consequences of their actions can be devestating in their lives. Can cause heartache and misery. A young man can't get pregnant so its the woman who must decide if this is what she really wants and must consider before giving their bodies to any man. This is why women are the ones who get the brunt of responsibilty. Don't you think its a woman's reposibility to protect herself from an unwanted child. If a teen wants to get pregnant, most likely its because they never recieved the love from their parents that they needed and hense, they look for it from a child. Teens should learn that having a child isn't the answer to get love. Love is earned and they should have been taught by their mothers to be responsable enough to hold off for the right guy. To be strong enough to be able to say no. Teens are still to young to really understand that most men just want the pleasure and knowing this makes the teen mom responsible for the outcome. It has been this way for years and years. Its just teens don't think about their futures when it come to the pleasures of sex. Nor do they realize how a child can impact their life. Teens tend to think they know what love is and because everyone one needs love, crave to be love they will give thir bodies away to many men before the right one comes along who really loves them for who they are and not just to get some action. So yes the woman is the one to blame as far as having a child when they are just a teen. Saying no, obstaining and birth control should have been mom's focus. They should be able to know that by getting pregnant , puts their future on hold and now they are strapped down to a life of raising a child when in fact teens are still children at a later stage of learning, and if they were more mature they would have not allowed to become pregnent. For centuries men have been known to be sexualy active and without responsibility for their actions. This is because the raging hormones for a man is very hard to ignore. If a teen mom would have waited and obstained, she would have had time to learn this. Thats why teens should have the education from their parents and they should have been taken to a gynocologist way before comming a woman. So they could be taught all about their bodies and how to prepare for sex and love.
Because they expect the girls to be smart and mature...
I really don't know...
Why is it that if a teenage girl has sex they call her a:
Whore/Slut/Easy.... Stuff like that.... Even guys call girls that....
But if a teenage boy has sex they call him:
The man..... What are guys suppose to do.... Have sex with each other since girls are suppose to always be lady like?
I think it's easier to blame the mother because you see it's her fault, and young women are expected to be more mature.
I don't think it's right to generalise all young Mums are terrible- many would be more responsible then older mothers.
People judge everyone except themselves. In our puritanical society it is always blamed on the female. Read, ';The Scarlet Letter,'; and see how some things never change. They're still blaming Eve for the troubles of the world.
Because it is much harder to tell who the teen dad is..
Boys don't exactly go around boasting about getting girls pregnant. Though they used too. A guy who could claim 6 sons of the same age was considered a Man.
I agree it isn't fair but if you think about it, in Australia if a guy sees a lot of girls he's a player which isn't really a bad thing. But if a girl sees a lot of boys she's a slut.
thats a very true statement and its not fair i agree however the teenage mum is more identifiable either being pregnant or with a little one where are you cant tell a teenage dad i guess.
I think that it's wrong to judge anyone especially people we don't even really know.
Very true! I don't think anybody should be judging anyone for any reason.

What are creative gifts that I can buy or make for my teenage friends?
For the holidays? Something relatively inexpensive, too, please. (Around $5 each)What are creative gifts that I can buy or make for my teenage friends?
You can bake cookies! Be creative! You can bake them in shapes of snowflakes or hearts or make a special, different cookie for each one of your friends. Write their names or draw a picture with icing and sprinkles. Then, wrap them individually with pretty cellophane paper or nice wrapping paper and tie them with cute ribbons. It's gonna take some work but it's fun if you make them with your friends or siblings. The best part is that it doesn't require a lot of money! I did this a couple years ago. My friends loved it because.. it's food! haha :) They enjoyed it right away!
For you closer friends, you can buy pretty picture frames and give pictures of both of you guys in them. You know at some thrift stores, if you really dig and search you can find really cute frames for like a dollar. Also check out the sales at the mall. Then go to Walgreens and print out like 10 pictures of you guys which would be like three bucks. Fit your fav. picture into the frame and then give the extra ones so they could have their choice. It'll be the frame that is only reserved for your friendship.
We, teenagers, do not have a lot of money. We can't buy our lovely friends ipods and jewelry but we can give them something that's thoughtful. :)What are creative gifts that I can buy or make for my teenage friends?
Buy a pound worth of clay, make like 10 pinch-pots,cook them in a kiln at a art place nearby, and paint them with nice paints. It should cost about 40$
i have the same question but i was thinking that i could go to a cheapish store like five and below where they have lots of random or funny little gifts we could laugh about %26amp; that are inexpensive or you could always make them cookies or buy them lots of candy :]
Play-Do!!!! I am totally serious. If you were sitting there and some different colors of playdo were in front of you....wouldn't you have a blast!!! They could make a masterpiece and always have it around! And it's a funny thing for them to open too if they have sense of humors!!! You can get a 4 pack for like 2 bucks! Enough left over for some homemade chocolate chip cookies or some other delicious kind!

Myrtle beach family vacation with teenage kids?
we have 5 kids between 12 and 17 and 5 adult. we'd like an area with a lot of people, things to do, shops, restaurants, oceanfront, ect. i'm confused about what area to stay in, north, south, or central?
we'd also like to be by the amusement parks. can you recommend a resort or hotel to stay in that is right on the water?
also are there a lot of teenagers there in the July?Myrtle beach family vacation with teenage kids?
There are lots of families visiting Myrtle Beach this time of year -- but yeah, there will likely be lots of teenagers too.
You'll want to get an oceanfront place, near the southern end of Myrtle Beach.
You can check rates at a variety of hotels here:

we'd also like to be by the amusement parks. can you recommend a resort or hotel to stay in that is right on the water?
also are there a lot of teenagers there in the July?Myrtle beach family vacation with teenage kids?
There are lots of families visiting Myrtle Beach this time of year -- but yeah, there will likely be lots of teenagers too.
You'll want to get an oceanfront place, near the southern end of Myrtle Beach.
You can check rates at a variety of hotels here:

Whats it like being a teenage male?
I dont get them
what kind things do they think about
Love
football
sex
kids
What is it?Whats it like being a teenage male?
a lot of stuff...ok music, making it big, sex, girls in general, someone who annoys the hell outta them, girls again :PWhats it like being a teenage male?
Sex, how to trick you into sex, how to tell you he's not into sex but really wants to, how to PRETEND to be in love to get sex from you, and at the end of it all...how to show off to everyone.
Fantastic! Sex, mates, girls. well great if you get some, otherwise can be tough. But i think its easier for girls, they know what they want and can seem to get them easier. Or are they just more driven?
football, sex
I don't understand these questions, what so hard to figure out about teenage males, or males in general?
We want three things
-Sex
-Food
-Entertainment
If im sitting around watching tv, and I don't have an erection, make me a sandwich.
When I was in High School most of the guys had a woody all the time.I don't think they were thinking about football. Every school dance I'd go home and be black and blue from all the guys banging into me with their boners. I think 16 to 24 is probably the best time to get married. At the very least you'll have 8 years of out of control sex.I thought about sex a lot too. It's not just the guys
Although 40 something now, I can remember being a teenage male. All I recall is sadness and frustration as you can't do anything without money [or power] and those things then, were a long way off.
Jeez, if I could figure that out honey then I'd be on to a winner.
I don't get them at all....I believe they think about sex a lot
Sex, mostly.
i was one once %26amp; all i thought about was my apperance %26amp; getting laid
Teenage males think about sex. Periodically, they interrupt this thought process with the realization that they are either hungry or sleepy, which then leads to eating while thinking about sex or sleeping after thinking about sex while waiting to drift off to sleep. During sleep, there is a high probability of dreaming about sex.
Luckily, most males outgrow this around the same time they die.

.Teenage male?Hmmmm..... its the best stage in a guy coz there is alot of things that they do and experience, although most guy don't like the word 'love' but really love the word 'sex'.
So if you think of getting a b.f choose the best who will show you love. (We also like football)
When I was a teenage male, I thought about love, sex, computers, and politics. However, not everyone is the same.

What are the advantages of teenage?
I'm a teen. And I always think there are some things I'm not doing that a teenager should do. And I also think that once teenage is gone...I'm going to miss those bygone days.
So, what are the things you wanted to do as a teen but now you can't do as you're grown up?
What are the advantages of teenage? What should I do now? I just don't want to miss anything. I want to feel worthy of my teenage when I'd look back on those days after it's past. What are the advantages of teenage?
YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT DIEING FROM OLD AGE..What are the advantages of teenage?
I wish that I had grown my hair out long - just because I could. I wish that I had really applied myself at certain subjects. I wish that I had tried harder to learn new things outside of school rather than sitting around being bored. I wish that I had been in better shape physically. I wish I had understood my peers like I understand them now - I spent a lot of time disliking people who I shouldn't have disliked.
That's pretty much it actually. I wish I had done those things - but otherwise I would never what to go back. Being an adult is much better!
you can be wild, free. teens looks great, young youthful face, no wrinkles, typically healthy, eat whatever you want. they live uunder their parents' roof with no cost or expense. free, careless life. not many responsibilites other than getting good grades and cleaning your room and doing a little bit of housework.
BEING YOUNG IS A BEAUTIFUL THING! ENJOY IT WHILE YOU CAN!!!! =D
see your parent! they work hard for you to study! advantages? you don't need to shoulder too many responsibilities! you just need to study and make friends!
just my 2 cents...
Get high enough grades to get into great college on scholarship
Study, learn a trade, work.
Wealth will flow.
:P
You can dress 'young' - as funky and crazy as you want and people won't look at you like you are longing to be young again.
You can learn very fast, and dedicate ALL Your time to learning if you wanted to. Learn a language!
You have a lot of time to mess around. Enjoy your spare time.
You don't have to worry about taking care of yourself for the most part, your parents pay for everything. Make sure you appreciate that, and don't take it for granted.
You don't have to worry about marriage, pregnancy or meeting any other societal expectations that come later in life.
You can do deliquent things and not go to jail for them (yay)
You don't have to worry about not being the center of the world - enjoy THAT while it lasts.
You don't have to hide your feelings as much as an adult is often encouraged to, express yourself freely.
You can sit in the back of the car and drag your feet, because no one expects you to do much else really.
You experience many things for the first time.
You should be able to do all these things throughout your life, but so often people forget that they can because expectations of them only get heavier. If you can do these things your whole life and not give a damn, then aces to you - we should all live our life happily and unrestrained by expectations. Bear that in mind: most things like this don't really end unless you choose for them to. But, I would say most importantly as a teenager now just enjoy your friends, enjoy your freedom, enjoy your excess time, and enjoy your new experiences. Be as crazy as you want and have fun. And don't think that everyone's idea of 'fun' is the same... your idea of fulfilling teenage years will be very different to another person's - just make sure YOU are happy.

Why are there so much teenage mothers in the western world Uk in particular?
Well, girls these days don't know how to keep their legs shut. Why are there so much teenage mothers in the western world Uk in particular?
I have no idea why there are so many teenage mothers in the western world. People say that teenagers are uneducated about sex but how hard can it be to understand that unprotected sex = pregnancy and if the condom splits then that's the same thing. I'm 17 and understand this, I've known this for a long time so I don't understand how others don't, it's not like that's complicated. Why are there so much teenage mothers in the western world Uk in particular?
Many other places reproduce a lot more than the UK. Try China and India for an example.
there r more in th undeveloped world. that is life. nothing wrong about it apart from stuck up peoples opinions

What was your most embarrassing teenage experience?
Public speaking in High-school during assembly. Had to publicly apologize for some sh1t i did...What was your most embarrassing teenage experience?
I was 12. Almost everyone in my class made fun of me for not having boobs (big). So in an attempt to be accepted I stuffed my bra with kleenex one morning and went to school. I made it through the morning and then when I had band class someone came up to me and told me I had something sticking out of my shirt, it was the kleenex I used to tried and give the illusion of bigger boobs! I was mortified! After that I was called ';Stove Top Stuffing'; for the rest of the year - then I moved and didn't have to deal with that again.
Wow - at the time it was so embarrassing but looking back now I can't help but laugh. lolWhat was your most embarrassing teenage experience?
There was a meeting with groups of guest speakers involving the whole school. One of the speakers asked who is the shortest kid in high school.(I was a freshman.) Everyone looked at me, pointing at me.I tried to sink into my chair hoping they'd miss me. It didn't work. I was like ';aww isht!!!'; I had to be the little tough guy verses the tall quiet guy. I never heard the end of it. People kept going (even the teachers) ';dude, you won'; because that was the ';case in point.'; Man, in front of the whole school populace, I had to play the part against my will!!
It's funny now, but back then, I felt like I wanted to relocate. LOL. (But JD's story tops the cake.)
Mine is when one day I drunk to much coke...and coke makes my stomach ';tumble';...so I had to take a sh*t....so I tried my best to hold it in and it worked until lunch. But unfornutaley I ate some french fries and that made me have to go to the rest room even more. So instead of holding it in even longer I ran to the rest room. Fortunatley I made it and took a nice sh*t. But then the friggin bell rung. So I had to leave and get up and wipe my butt. But i didnt do so good, so while leaving, I many many MANY people smelled the sh*t but couldnt point me out luckly. So thinking I got out of this situation, I went to my next class, WHICH WAS GYM!!! In gym I had to run and jump and move around. I didnt even bring spare clothes. So eventually peopl found out I sh*tted on myself. I denied it, but the kids kept trying to find out and say it was me. And the bad part is that it was the beggining of me freshman year in High School!!!! So the people taunted me antaunted me for the rest of the year!!
This year, I was walking in the halls to class. I dont really pay attention to where im going. My crush was nearby and what do I do? Not paying attention and a locker is opened on my face! I ran into it!!!!!!!!!!

What do you think of my idea for reducing the rise in teenage pregnancies...?
In sex education class, teach that the average penis length is 20 inches. What do you think of my idea for reducing the rise in teenage pregnancies...?
LOL That's funny!
I was really shocked just now, like wow it is! LOL
That sure would keep me from having sex!
Nice one, we should tell all the teachers! LOLWhat do you think of my idea for reducing the rise in teenage pregnancies...?
You know, just because you may not agree with teens having babies or getting pregnant, does not mean that they are going to believe that the male penis is 20 inches long! Mistakes happen and telling them a lie isn't going to stop it from happening! It's apart of nature and sometimes you need to make mistakes to learn from them.
no but maybe if they were taught even if you touch the penis you can get pregnant... i think they would think twice...considering all these young girls are on here i touch my boyfriends penis am i pregnant i jerked my boyfriend off and he came on my bed and i slept in my bed can i be pregnant? i mean come on its pathetic... scare them a little bit tell them they can get pregnant by just touching
LOL!
well its a thought...although I have to say the idea of above-average really is eye-watering if we use your system!
I'm convinced mandatory issuing of chastity belts would sort the rise out myself. hide the key until, say, 21/22 and bobs your uncle. expect to see a sharp increase in sales of power tools at Do It All mind..
hmm no still wouldn't work. really i don't see the problem with teen pregnancy. My take is that people look down on pregnant teens but they are much more courageous than the ones who have abortions. Ok so theres the sense thing but i'm pretty certain they know what they are getting themselves into i mean helloooo it's talked about enough... ok no one can be tottally prepared until it happens but you know.
an interesting idea that will be taken as an urban myth by many.for the u.k. i'd say if they have sprogs at 16 or under, put them in a big dormitory in an old hospital and don't give them a council flat till they're 25 years old.that should do it
I am in the Medical Field
Girls are NOT that STUPID to believe that when we already know the truth is that the average is 3 to 5.5
Why would you want to disappoint an entire generation of young girls when they find out the truth??? And also give an entire generation of young boys an inferiority complex?? ha ha. Thanks for the laugh, though. =]
i don't think that would work. Do you actually think that they are stupid and would believe that? and even if they did that just might excite some of them even more.
That's funny but then that would consider the school lying when the student found out it's not really 20in or maybe some of them are not even virgins anymore and know how big they really are..
That obviously wouldn't work, as by the time you start sex education, you already know the length of a penis!
I think make them take home the simulator babies for a week and then see if they still want unprotected sex lol
teach them that the average penis is only one inch, and they won't bother themselves!
very good idea
Thatd excite me more than anything. Ha.
It's a bad idea.
umm no.. i say they should find a birth control that can be given to girls when they are 11 and last until they are 18 or 19.
That is an awesome idea! lol
guys would be scared to show it, and girls would be scared to take it... its genius!
L0l omg.now what does the size of a penis have to do with teenage pregnancy?
Lol. That may help until they google it.
Where I live, that pretty much is the average size lol
Cute.
the guys in the class will know you are lying. so it wouldn't work
LOL that is too funny :)
make em want it more.
That's great and might scare the girls...
But what about the boys? lol
teenage pregnancies?? im a young mum.....19 to be exact(17 when my son was born). I dont understand why we are all frowned upon??we arent all party goers ect :(
oh yeah... why not make it 30 to be on the safe side
isn't it ?makeup hair printer ink cartridges
LOL That's funny!

How do you make a teenage boy keep his room tidy and clean?
Ha-ha! This is a joke, right?
When my DAUGHTERS were teenagers they never kept their rooms clean! (Come to think of it, they're not much better now either.)
The only suggestion I have is to lay down a few rules...
-No eating in your room, because there is no way I'm going in there to collect the plates and cutlery.
-All garbage has to ABSOLUTELY be shovelled out every week. If not YOU get to pay for the exterminator for all the bugs you've attracted into the house.
-No friends allowed to visit, unless and until your room is clean. (I'm currently trying this one on my 11 year old grandson, but it doesn't seem to be working too well.)
Don't bother getting uptight and upset when they don't comply. And don't ever, EVER clean it yourself. This just encourages them to look on you as their personal slave.
Get used to keeping the door shut. (Hhheeeeyyyy, maybe if you put a padlock on the outside of the door, and didn't let him in the room at all until he promised to clean it??????)How do you make a teenage boy keep his room tidy and clean?
No work = No money ! is the best formula. How do you make a teenage boy keep his room tidy and clean?
Do the same thing that worked on me...If they don't do what is asked of them, take away privileges.
My parents actually had to stoop as low as taking away my car keys to get the message through to me. It worked. I'd also tell him that girls don't like men who are slobs.
stick porn to the floor?
you don't. just close the door and let him have his space the way he wants it.
i gotta say that if you want him to ';keep'; it clean- he's gonna have to be organized in all other areas- school, emotionally, etc.
try throwing the stuff away (he wont have any thing to leave laying around-eventually)- if he wont pick it up- and don't buy him more stuff- until he gets his stuff together in all areas.
sounds mean- but it works
stop giving him money until he does.
It worked when i was a kid ;-)
Set them down %26amp; tell them that it is their responsabilty of having a roof over their head.
A clean room is a sighn of growing up
Take away something from him that he really enjoys until he cleans the room.
I know exactly how you fell!. When my son's were teens, each had their own bedroom, and this was ';double trouble'; for me!. Once they were old enough to choose their own decor,I told them how important it was to have their own space; have the things in their room that belonged only to them, and how they should charish their belongings. I told them that keeping a clean, neat bedroom shows they care about their belongings and can proudly ';show off'; their stuff to their friends. I also told them, that there would be no problem looking for things,if they always knew where they were kept. This eliminates scrambling around looking for a pair of socks in the morning, before going to school. (And last but not least), I told them that if I have to clean it,I may find something they don't want a ';mother'; to see! (Like a picture of their skinny little girlfriend in a Bikini). Hope this method works for you! (Good Luck!)
Is this a trick question or what
I commend you for wanting to do this. As a parent, it is your responsibility to teach your teenager how to clean and keep things clean.
First you should keep the rest of the house tidy and clean.
Second, you should teach him how to do it.
Third, you should lower your expectations.
I ask for 15 minutes a day worth of cleaning. When the fifteen minutes are up, he is done for the day.
I ask for specific things, like put all your dirty laundry down the laundry chute. Change your bedsheets and make your bed. Sweep the floor.
You should be consistent. Do an inspection regularly - once a week or so. It isn't fair if you let something go for months, and then yell at him to clean it up.
Another thing you could do is make the room cleaning contingent on something he wants to do. As in, your friend can come over after your room has been picked up. You can go to the movie after your room has been cleaned.
Well I am glad you came to us for the answer! First of all you don't ';make'; a boy clean his room. It is his responibilty to clean his room. And he knows that if he doesn't clean his room then their will be a punishment. Make sure that the rest of your house is picked up so he has a ';model'; of what his should look like and he knows your exspectations of what it should look like. Don't bribe him with video games, toys, or extra items that he will probably just leave lying around as well. It is best that he doesn't eat in his room. Don't let him go anywhere, see his friends, have tv, phone, or computer priviledges untill he has completed his job correctly. (that means not shoving everything in the closet or under the bed). Once he gets his room picked up, make sure he keeps it like that. I would suggest taking away all of his priviledges and when he get his room clean give 1 back to him. For each week he keeps his room tidy and clean, give him another privledge back. If his room gets messy and dirty again, take back a privledge that you gave to him. Make sure he has the materials needed to clean his room. Make sure he has a trash can, dirty clothes hamper, and any other thing he might have. Help him be pround of his romm and keep it tidy. (that does not mean helping him clean it). Make sure he is also organized at school. Makesure his locker is clean and organized and his papers are in the write place. Remember don't break down and clean his room for him. It is his responibilty to clean it. I hope you found this information helpful and resourcful to use so that he will get his room cleaned up. Thanks again for asking us to help you with your problem.
Sincerely,

Bribe him
Make his room as easy to take care of as possible.
A place for everything and less stuff to put away.
Help him to get it this way by having him work with a professional organizer to get his room where he wants it to be.
Check out pbteen for some great ideas to use.
Stipulate that there are consequences for not following through.
Lastly, Hire a house cleaner who will clean his room and move his stuff. If he doesn't get his stuff put away first, he is out of luck.
I have a teenage pack rat and the top bunk of her bed is covered with bins (no mattress) that have hidden treasures. But, she basically lives on her bed and does everything from there. It used to be a bed and everything else was a big trash pit. Now, I can leave the doors open on some days.
I don't think you really can
My boys were neat Can you tell me how to get my daughter to clean her room this is my quarry lol
Take the stuff away - tell him he gets it back when he finds a place for it to live and keeps it there!!
ONE SUGGESTION IF ALL ELSE FAILS........
YOU COULD GO IN AN JUST CLEAN IT OUT YOURSELF AND LEAVE THE BARE MIMINAL THINGS. SUCH AS A BED, PILLOW, BLANKET. THERE IS NO ABUSE IN THIS AND MAYBE AS HE LEARNS TO TAKE CARE OF WHAT HE HAS, HE CAN GAIN BACK OTHER ITEMS. BUT GIVE HIM A WARNING OR TWO PRIOR TO THIS EXTREME MOVE.
Dont think you can, either
Just let it be
Threaten to destroy his video games.
Beat him untill he does.
You put this in the Home and Garden section ...
OK, clean the room for him ... using the garden hose
keep him out of it is the only way i know i have two
Every time my teenage son cleans up his room he has been up to something. I'd rather it stay dirty and he stay out of trouble.
Threaten him within an inch of his life...if this doesn't work, start throwing stuff away.
good luck
let him have girls over :)
